Last month we had the sincerest pleasure of awarding our 2nd annual $500 scholarship for outstanding service to ✨️Ms. Audrey Gabbert! ✨️
Audrey's responses to our scholarship application exhibited not only a tremendous amount of service and dedication to her community but a deep passion for service and understanding of its necessity and value on a personal level. Gabbert wrote about connecting with an individual impacted by flooding while she served in the Pikeville area and stated, "Being able to sit and listen to her and help her talk through some of the hard things she had experienced had a big impact on me... it made me realize how just listening can be so impactful on someone else as well as you."
Fun fact- Ms. Gabbert is also our first participant to ever receive a perfect score from all scorers! She recieved the highest marks for all questions. Well done, Audrey! ✏️🎉
Audrey plans to attend Murray State University to obtain her bachelor's degree studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine and minoring in communications, followed by veterinary school. She desires to work with large animals, like cows, and help fill the large animal vet shortage Kentucky is currently experiencing. 🐮🥼
Gabbert leads with excellence, and she plans to fulfill all her dreams and callings while staying rooted in her faith and close to her family. 💙
