First City Film Festival

We have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the 2025 festival. The financial and physical support of the festival took several hits all within the last couple of months and we are unable to recover in time to hold this year's event.

All filmmakers have been notified via a Film Freeway email and we will be working to process submission fee refunds.

As we work on the schedule for next month's festival - our director will take a break on February 19 to sit on a panel for the Independent Filmmakers Coalition's next meeting!!

Festie Besties - it is with great sadness that we share the news of the loss of our friend Mary-Pat Green on Sept. 9. She was an actor, independent filmmaker and had ties to the Leavenworth and KC area. She attended the inaugural First City Film Festival back in 2018 as a special guest and helped us present that year's Dandelion Award for a local woman in film. She will be missed.
