Longhorn Chess is thrilled to share that we have officially reached our fundraising goal for UNICEF. This achievement would not have been possible without your generous contributions, support, and enthusiasm for the tournament.

As a nonprofit organization, we want to emphasize that a significant portion of the registration fees is dedicated to supporting community and social causes. Your participation directly helps provide essential resources to vulnerable children and supports vital health, education, and relief programs.

Thank you once again for your incredible support. We look forward to seeing you at future events as we continue to do whatever it takes to help those in need.

🌟♟️ Another Outstanding Chess Tournament at Leander Public Library! ♟️🌟
What an incredible day for our growing chess community! We had 77 talented players competing across four competitive sections, creating an atmosphere filled with focus, strategy, and high-level competition.

I hope every player walked away stronger, more confident, and motivated to continue improving. Congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding performances and well-earned success! At the same time, a big appreciation to every participant—because participation is the key to success, and every game played is a step forward in your chess journey.

Huge appreciation to Anjali Soni, our Tournament Director, for her leadership and professionalism in maintaining structure, fairness, and a high-quality competitive environment throughout the event. Special thanks to Daniel Hung at Leander Chess for lending additional chess sets and clocks and for continuously supporting our tournaments.

A special thank you to my friend Vijay, Shiva, Ashok and for all volunteers for their invaluable support in organizing and coordinating the tournament.

Our May 2nd event once again highlighted how quickly this chess community is growing—greater participation, stronger competition, and increasing enthusiasm with each passing month.

♟️ See you at the boards on June 6th!

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun event! Hope to see even more of you next week😊
