Antoine LeClaire Family Angel Tree LeClaire Angel Tree that helps support families at Cody and Bridgeview Elementary, and PV Jr. High. The organization has no paid employees.

Established in LeClaire, Iowa, in 2021, the Antoine LeClaire Family Angel Tree provides Christmas presents, clothing and food to local area families in need. It was named in honor of Antoine LeClaire, founder and namesake of the town of LeClaire. One of the first white men in the area, and Indian interpreter for the U.S. Government, he was instrumental in establishing and developing the frontier t

owns of LeClaire, Davenport and the greater Quad-Cities area through philanthropic donations of land, funds, and his personal time and attention. In his love and concern for the progress and betterment of the community, Mr. LeClaire donated property for use by the first railroad to extend west of the Mississippi and offered his own home as its original depot. Other civil and secular donations included land used for the construction of the Scott County Courthouse, city parks and for Iowa College in Davenport, the first college established in the state of Iowa. The Antoine LeClaire Family Angel Tree is completely dependent on the gifts and donations of benevolent individuals, private companies and organizations. One hundred percent of the funds and gifts from its donors return to the community. Jeff and Michelle Smith joyfully donate their time and means to help insure that local families in need can experience the joy of celebrating the holiday season.

We delivered gifts to aspire nursing home this morning. They were extremely grateful for the items that we did provide. For anyone with Pleasant Valley high school students who need service hours they said they have plenty of openings for students to come and spend time with their residence and play cards or board games.

That wraps up the 2025 angel tree season for us. We are very very grateful for everyone’s generosity and look forward to another big year in 2026. Merry Christmas!!!

We’re done!!!!! All of the presents have been delivered to us, boxed, wrapped, and sorted. We have to pick up three gifts tomorrow to even out numbers between siblings, but that’s an easy day. Thank you to everyone who donated!!!! We have 419 wrapped gifts for 47 children from 18 families. This is BY FAR the most presents we’ve done in a year. Our family baskets are BY FAR the best we’ve ever had thanks to three extremely generous donors who stepped in to help us this weekend. We’re exhausted, but we’ll make our deliveries on Wednesday and we’ll make Christmas that much better for 47 LeClaire children! We also have a number of gifts for 37 residents of Aspire Nursing Home that we’ll deliver later this week. Thank you all so much!!! The people and businesses of LeClaire are extremely generous, making this a great place to live for everyone. Merry Christmas!!!

Our family gift baskets are better than ever this year! Normally we’re rushing around last minute with the remainder of our budget to build these baskets. 281 gifts wrapped so far! We're expecting around 400 this year. We are running low on boxes, like standard sizes of amazon boxes for packaging items before we wrap them. If anyone is in LeClaire and has some boxes they can donate, please let us know. We need them today.

We're just five days away from our deadline and we've only received gifts for 5 of our 47 angels. If you're done shopping for your angels, please get their gifts delivered to us ASAP so we have time to sort and wrap everything. We can't wrap gifts for a child until we have all of their siblings' gifts delivered, as we make sure all siblings receive the same number of gifts. If everyone waits until Sunday to drop off, we will be awake wrapping presents from Sunday until we deliver Wednesday morning. Thank you!
