- ROBB & KAREN + family -
After the Lord inspired the idea it needed hands and hearts to turn that vision into reality. Robb and Karen Harrop stepped in and brought much needed organization, faith, and a gift for making things happen.

Parents to four wonderful sons and two beloved daughters-in-law, and now proud grandparents, the Harrops treasure family above all. Their love for family extends to the Saints they serve, helping create the means for brothers and sisters across the world to reach the temple and receive the blessings of eternity.

“Our journey to the temple was long and challenging at times. I experienced grief, frustration, hopelessness, and despair, and there were times when I felt like giving up. But in our journey to the temple we were never alone. We always had the Savior’s influence with us”

- MEET DAVID HALL -
After hearing about the Peru temple trip on the Standard of Truth podcast, David Hall felt moved to help. Reaching out to the team, he took the inspired idea of Sweetwater Rescue and turned it into a fully recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, opening the way for even more Saints to reach the house of the Lord.

David, a husband and father of five, lives in Boise, Idaho. With his background in technology and business management, and as a newly called temple worker, he is devoted to helping others experience the joy, peace, and eternal blessings found in temple covenants.

- RICHARD & BECKY + family -
In April 2024, The LeDuc Family, joined with Carlos Tipiani to help bring 118 faithful Saints from Puno, Peru to the Arequipa Temple, some for the first time and many for the first time in decades. It was on the flight home from this amazing experience that the idea for this nonprofit was first conceived.

As parents of five, the LeDucs treasure family memories. But their most sacred experiences have been in the temple, where families are sealed for eternity. Sweetwater Rescue was born from their desire to help others receive those same eternal blessings, trusting in the Lord to guide the way.

- MEET CARLOS TIPIANI -
Carlos Tipiani is the original founder of this organization that has evolved into Sweetwater Rescue. It started in 2014 when Carlos was inspired by the talk by Jefferey R Holland, “Are We Not All Beggars” Elder Holland Talk.

It all started when he organized his first trip. He went back to Peru, where he was born, to help the people of Peru.

As Elder Cook so eloquently taught, the temple brings BLESSINGS. Help us as we bring others to the temple!

“Temple blessings help to prepare a people who will help prepare the world, for the second coming of the Lord.”

Who doesn’t love a good meal AND supporting a great cause. 🍽️

PLEASE SHARE this on your social media!

The amazing Hug Hes American Kitchen Restaurant chain (6 locations locally to choose from) is doing an awesome fundraiser for our nonprofit Sweetwater Rescue.

Everyone who eats a meal at ANY of their restaurants this week:

THURSDAY, November 6th
FRIDAY, November 7th
SATURDAY, November 8th

They are giving 66% of your bill to send people to the Nairobi Kenya temple next summer 2026. Our tentive goal is to take up to 500 people from surrounding countries to the new temple in Nairobi.

This is a HUGE fundraiser opportunity for our little nonprofit……so go get a great meal at an incredible restaurant and help us raise money for a great cause!

Make sure to mention Sweetwater Rescue! 📣
