Summer Music Camp for girls and transgender youth. This camp is not limited to any specific genres or styles. Please see our website for more info.

Amplify Lawrence is an intersectional feminist movement associated with the international Girls Rock Camp Alliance. Amplify Lawrence hosts a week long summer camp in which girls and trans youth between ages 12-18 come together and form bands. Each band member will bring their own unique flavor to the band they form! The camp provides multiple workshops each day, including topics relating to song-w

riting, band promotion, team-building, intersectional feminism, movement, anti-oppression, self-defense, self-expression and more!

CALLING ALL AMPLIFY VOLUNTEERS!!

Come hang out at Royal Crest Lanes May 23rd 3-5pm! 933 Iowa Street in Lawrence, Kansas. We pay for the lanes, you should expect to pay for your own shoes ($4.49 for shoe rentals).

Past, present, and future volunteers welcome! Come learn more about camp and meet other volunteers. Even if you’re just thinking about volunteering but haven’t committed yet we want you there! If you have any questions for the board or camp director we want you there!

Our first-ever clothing swap is happening this weekend and will ALSO be located at the White School House from 1-6pm.

3 events in 1 day!? Oh, my! Join us this Saturday 4/25 for our big event day. Free admission!

The clothing swap drop off will be happening throughout the event so please don’t worry about early drop off. Donate, shop, or both!

🛍️ BYOB (bring your own bag) to shop all the clothes that you want. No item limit and all genders welcome!

This weekend is gear donation drop off time! Bring your used music gear (anything music making related that’s in decent condition) to Liberty Hall between 1-9pm on Sat and Sun. It will go towards our benefit sale the following weekend. THANK YOU!!

Downstairs from our Gear-age sale on April 25th we will be having a documentary double feature! Starting at 1pm at we will be showing 2 documentaries on repeat until 6pm. One about our camp in 2016, the other about the 2007 Girls Rock! Camp in Seattle (now called !)

Girls Rock! (2007) (~1:30mins) - Girls Rock! follows the journey of four 8-18-year-olds as they are transformed by the liberating powers of music at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls. Given the opportunity to bash the drums, wail like a banshee and take up space, the girls jettison gender stereotypes like old hats on their way to a joyous final concert that will change their lives forever.

Girls Rock Lawrence 2016 (~30 mins) - a documentary following the 2016 camp of Girls Rock Lawrence (now known as Amplify Lawrence). Watch as campers and volunteers talk about the incredible energy is created at camp every year.

Admission will be free, though we’ll have concessions for sale and all that profit from concessions will go to Amplify Lawrence!

If everything goes according to plan each documentary will play twice before 6pm. Come hang out!
