Join us for our Lions Dinner on Tuesday, August 25th at 6:00 PM at Dexter’s Pub as we celebrate our community service and recognize some special members of our Lions family.

From vision screenings and eyeglass recycling to supporting eye health initiatives and helping people access the care they need, vision has remained one of Lions Clubs International’s signature causes since the very beginning.

Lions Clubs International started way back in 1917, founded by Chicago businessman Melvin Jones. His big idea: business people should give back to the communities that support them.

What began as one small club exploded into the largest service club organization on the planet, spanning 200+ countries, tackling vision loss, hunger, disaster relief & more, all under the motto “We Serve.” 100+ years later, that spirit is still going strong. 💛

What once began as bags full of discarded plastic has been transformed into durable benches that will serve our community for years to come. Every piece of plastic recycled is an opportunity to reduce waste, conserve resources, and create something meaningful.

Our incredible team rolled up their sleeves to sort donated eyeglasses, preparing them for people who otherwise might not have access to the vision care they need.

It’s amazing what a community can accomplish when we come together with a shared purpose. Thank you to every volunteer and member who helped make the project a success! 🦁👓
