Half a century ago, a grassroots collective of women gathered around a kitchen table in Lawrence, KS, with a shared mission: to build a safe haven for survivors of domestic violence.

From those courageous beginnings, The Willow Domestic Violence Center became the very first domestic violence shelter in Kansas. Today, we are proud to celebrate 50 years of providing life-saving support, advocacy, and shelter.

We couldn't have reached this milestone without our incredible community, and we invite you to celebrate with us!
