To the mothers who nourish, comfort, soothe, and sustain.
To the late nights, the quiet moments, the full hearts (+ b***s), and the little ones who find comfort in mama’s arms.
To the strength in your bodies and the tenderness in your care.

Because we know this journey isn’t always easy. There are hard days that leave you tired and ready to give up, but there are really beautiful ones, too. Cherish them ALL. Every moment matters. Every milestone is worth celebrating. Every drop of milk counts.

We see you. We honor you. And we’re cheering you on. Happy Black Breastfeeding Week, Mamas! 🤱🏿🖤🤎

Join us for a follow-up conversation on birth outcomes in Douglas County on September 17th from 6-7:30pm in Flory Meeting Hall at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

Together, we will build on what we learned in April at our first birth outcomes conversation. All are welcome to attend, whether or not you attended the meeting in April.

Thank you to LMH Health, LiveWell Douglas County, Early Childhood Collective of Douglas County, and especially to those who shared their experiences at April's Public Health After Dark. Making progress on birth outcomes takes community action. We couldn't do it without you!

This conversation will focus on the following themes:
- Advancing policy actions that support healthy pregnancies, births, and families.
- Pulling together actionable data that can guide decision-making, identify disparities, and measure progress.
-Expanding access to person-centered care, ensuring every family feels heard, respected, and supported.

How she showed up vs. what she left...

I thought I was meeting a milk donor. Turns out I was actually accepting a wholesale shipment. 😂

Thanks to one incredibly generous mama, who took our freezer from empty to "please don't open this door too fast."

Black trans families are building worlds of their own. And on April 16 we are making space to celebrate that. 💜

Beyond the Binary: Black Trans Family Building in a World Not Built for US is a conversation that centers what does not get centered enough. The joy, the chosen kin, the brilliance, and boundless ways Black trans families use to build, protect, and sustain themselves within systems that were never designed with them in mind.

Register now at bit.ly/btfb26.

This is not a panel about survival alone. It is a conversation about how Black trans families are thriving, on their own terms, in spite of everything.

Join us virtually on April 16 at 6PM ET.
