Children at the Well

Children at the Well Children at the Well is a program of WithOurVoice, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2006.

Diverse young people from the Capital Region of New York State learn the art of storytelling and practice it to express their pride in their own traditions, their personal identity and their appreciation of the traditions of others. Telling stories, connecting with others, and growing leaders in upstate NY since 2006!

Celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day at the first outdoor festival of the season! Live music, inspired speakers & poets, kids activities, tree plantings, tabling by community and sustainability groups, and food vendors!

Mohawk-Hudson Earth Fest
Where: Central Park, Schenectady, NY
When: Saturday April 25 from 12 noon - 4 pm
Who: Everyone!
What: A good time with neighbors and friends in celebration of community and a greener tomorrow

Our program was awarded the Brother Blue and Ruth Hill Award by Northeast Storytelling at the Sharing the Fire Conference this past weekend! Andrea Kamens gave an astonishingly comprehensive and touching speech, referencing past C@W students Adah Rebeccah Hetko and Khalafalla M. Osman. C@W Story Coaches Ross and Marisa Peña Altieri came up with me to accept the award from Andrea.
Ours was given for a program benefitting youth. Heather Forest also received the award this year, so very well deserved for her long dedication.

Storyteller Kriti will be part of the Round Robin of stories on Saturday 2/14, 3:30pm, and on Sunday 2/15 at noon, Children at the Well will present "Stories of Helping: Good Friends and Good Neighbors."
