A Children at the Well story: A couple of weeks ago, C@W storyteller Mishika, starting high school, was still in India visiting family when her dad asked if she would like to tell a story Oct 5 at Readers Theater, the high profile event for Wizards Wardrobe in Albany NY. Being the cool, competant type she said "sure!" and found a story she liked. Back home, swamped with school work and other activities, and getting over jet lag, she met once with C@W Storycoach Stephanie Ward, who helped her discover why the story spoke to her. That was six days ago.
Mishika then worked on the story on her own, adding details and depth, and last night took the stage with half a dozen accomplished adults from the Capital Region.
Mishika knocked it out of the park! We were all so proud of her!
