Today was a good day.

I had the opportunity to welcome Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley to 5 Star Impact and walk him through the vision, the growth, and the work happening within our walls.

As we moved from room to room, we talked about workforce development, education, entrepreneurship, and the importance of creating spaces where people can learn, grow, and thrive. Every classroom, every program, and every partnership represents a seed being planted in our community.

I’m grateful for leaders who take the time to listen, connect, and see the work firsthand. Thank you, County Executive Crowley, for spending time with us today.

This is what growth looks like.

Not perfect. Not polished. Just real people showing up, learning together, and figuring it out one skill at a time.

Yesterday in our CNA program: blood pressure practice, resume edits, flashcard drills, and a lot of encouragement. Some came straight from work. Some brought their kids' homework to finish after class.

That's the thing about career training here. it's built for real life, not ideal life.

You don't have to have it all together to start. You just have to show up.
