Opportunity Village was founded in 1954 by seven dedicated, committed and loving families who were determined to give their children with disabilities the best lives possible. We had an incredible time at Splash into Giving event! A huge thank you to the Olympia Companies SH Charitable Foundation for inviting us to be part of it!

This event brings the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation’s lifetime giving to over $32 million across the last 26 years! We are deeply grateful for their continued support and partnership, which allows us to keep pushing our mission forward.

The results are in, and the 2026 Shred-A-Thon with KSNV News 3, Las Vegas and the Southern Nevada Toyota Dealers was a massive success!

The final numbers:
April 29 @ David Wilson Toyota: 12 bins (2,400 lbs)
May 6 @ Centennial Toyota: 37 bins (7,400 lbs)
May 13 @ Findlay Toyota: 27 bins (5,400 lbs)
May 20 @ AutoNation Toyota: 47 bins (10,810 lbs)

That's 123 bins and a whopping 26,010 pounds of paper securely destroyed and recycled in just 4 days!

At Paper Pros, the mission never stops. Every year, we process approximately 2.5 million pounds of shredding to keep our community secure and sustainable.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and to our hosts for making this possible.

After nearly two years of hard work and heart, Anna Silvestri has completed her Entry Program at the Hilton Garden Inn!

Anna trained in most of the areas of the hotel including housekeeping, supporting the Houseman and the dish room, and she did it all with a smile and established great rapport with the staff.

To celebrate her success, General Manager Nick Amato presented Anna with a farewell cake and a gift card as a small token of appreciation.

Now, Anna has launched her career with Whole Foods Market, bringing her talents to the prepared foods department as a dishwasher! 👏

Congratulations Anna, we can’t wait to hear about your continued success! ✨

On Thursday, May 28, Zen Leaf is celebrating their 10-year anniversary and have selected Opportunity Village as their nonprofit spotlight for the occasion!
During the event, 100% of all roundups and shirt sales will be donated directly to Opportunity Village to support our mission of empowering, employing and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Plus, if you visit the Fort Apache location at 5335 S Fort Apache Rd. between 2-3 p.m. you can meet members of the OV team and enjoy some fun giveaways!

We were excited to welcome representatives from the Caesars Entertainment Foundation to the Magical Forest for a special check presentation recognizing their incredible support of both HallOVeen and Magical Forest 2026 through bulk ticket purchases for Caesars property employees and their families. Their continued partnership helps make these beloved community events possible while directly supporting Opportunity Village’s mission.

A special thank you also goes to Ambassadors Ignacia and Dan, who helped welcome the group and made the visit extra memorable.

Opportunity Village's Prevocational team took a trip to The Forum Shops at Caesars recently for a front-row seat at the legendary "Fall of Atlantis" show.

It was a trek to get to the heart of the mall, but everyone did great on the walk and the show made every step worth it!
