THE COUNTDOWN IS OVER. 🔥💜

Four years of growth.
Months of planning.
Thousands of kits packed.
Hundreds of volunteers ready.

TODAY, WE DO IT.

Tonight, 777 registered volunteers will come together for Narcan at Night 2026 — the largest volunteer-led event in Nevada and one of the largest community-based overdose prevention initiatives in the country.

For two hours, 20 teams will spread out across the Las Vegas Valley with one goal:

Get 15,000 overdose response kits into our community.

But tonight isn’t really about a number.

It’s about the person who will have naloxone nearby because you put it there.

It’s about the conversation that changes someone’s perspective.

It’s about meeting people exactly where they are, without judgment.

It’s about awareness. Education. Action. Connection.

And above everything else…

It’s about HOPE.

To every volunteer, Team Lead, sponsor, partner and person who helped us get to this moment — THIS is what we’ve been working toward.

Tonight, we show up.

Tomorrow, something extraordinary happens in Nevada.

What started four years ago with 40 volunteers and 3 teams has grown into the largest volunteer-led event in the state of Nevada — and one of the largest community-based overdose prevention initiatives in the country.

Tomorrow, hundreds of volunteers across 20 teams will take 15,000 overdose response kits directly into communities throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Not from behind a table.

Not waiting for someone to ask for help.

We go to them.

For two hours, volunteers from different organizations, professions, neighborhoods and walks of life will work side-by-side with one shared belief:

Overdose is preventable.
People deserve access to lifesaving resources.
And community action can save lives.

The numbers are incredible — but what they represent is even bigger.

Every one of those 15,000 kits could be present at the exact moment someone needs it.

Every conversation is an opportunity to educate.

Every interaction is an opportunity to reduce stigma.

And every volunteer is proof of what can happen when a community decides that showing up matters.

Months of planning.
Thousands of kits packed.
Hundreds of volunteers ready.

And on Saturday, it all comes down to TWO HOURS.

Two hours of teams spreading out across the Las Vegas Valley.

Two hours of conversations, education, connection, and putting life-saving resources directly into the hands of our community.

Two hours to distribute 15,000 overdose response kits.

But here’s the thing…

Those kits aren’t going to sit on a table waiting for someone to find them.

We’re bringing them to the people.

Into neighborhoods. Into businesses. Into places where people live, work, gather, and spend their Saturday night.

That’s what Narcan at Night has always been about: meeting people where they are.

And this year, hundreds of you said, “I’ll be there.”

In just 2 DAYS, we get to see what happens when an entire community decides to show up at the same time. 💜

3 DAYS. 💜

Three days until Narcan at Night — so today, we’re counting down with 3 basic steps everyone should know when responding to a suspected opioid overdose.

1️⃣ RECOGNIZE THE SIGNS

Look for signs like:
• Unresponsiveness or inability to wake up
• Slow, shallow, irregular, or stopped breathing
• Choking, gurgling, or unusual snoring sounds
• Discoloration of the lips, fingertips, or skin
• Pinpoint pupils

And remember: if you aren’t sure whether someone is experiencing an overdose, treat it like one. Acting quickly could save their life.

2️⃣ CALL 911 📱

An overdose is a medical emergency. Call 911 and follow the dispatcher’s instructions. Even if someone responds to naloxone and appears to improve, they still need emergency medical evaluation.

3️⃣ RESPOND 💜

Administer naloxone as soon as possible and support the person’s breathing. If you’re trained, begin rescue breathing and/or CPR as appropriate, and continue following the 911 dispatcher’s instructions until help arrives. Additional doses of naloxone may be needed if the person does not respond.

Knowing what to do is important.

Having the tools to do it is just as important.

And in 3 DAYS, hundreds of Narcan at Night volunteers will head into our community to make sure thousands more people have those tools when they’re needed most.

Recognize. Call. Respond.

Because you never know when knowing these three steps could help save someone’s life. 💜

Four years ago, Narcan at Night started with an idea:

What if we stopped waiting for people to come to the resources… and brought the resources directly to them?

That first year, 40 volunteers and 3 teams showed up and distributed 3,000 overdose response kits across our community.

And then you kept showing up.

💜 2023: 40 volunteers • 3 teams • 3,000 kits
💜 2024: 140 volunteers • 7 teams • 5,000 kits
💜 2025: 542 volunteers • 15 teams • 8,000 kits

And now, here we are.

2026. Our 4th Narcan at Night.

This Saturday, hundreds of volunteers across 20 teams will take to the Las Vegas community with a goal of distributing 15,000 overdose response kits in one night.

What started as an idea has become a movement — and every person who has volunteered, packed a kit, led a team, sponsored this event, shared our mission or simply believed this could work helped build it.

Four years later, we’re just getting started. 💜

Five days from now, hundreds of us will come together across Las Vegas for something bigger than any one person, organization, or event.

So as the countdown begins, we wanted to start with 5 words that describe Narcan at Night:

💡 AWARENESS — because conversations can change the way our community understands overdose.

📖 EDUCATION — because knowing how to recognize and respond to an overdose can save a life.

⚡ ACTION — because resources only make an impact when we get them into the hands of the people who need them.

🤝 CONNECTION — because sometimes one interaction is the beginning of someone finding support, treatment, or simply knowing they aren’t alone.

💜 HOPE — because ultimately, that’s what we’re carrying into our community.

And in 5 DAYS, those words become more than words.

They become YOU.

15,000 overdose response kits don’t pack themselves. 💜📦

Before Narcan at Night can take thousands of lifesaving resources into our community, we have to get those kits packed — and we could use some extra hands!

We have TWO Kit Packing Days happening this week:

📦 MONDAY, AUGUST 31ST
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

📦 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Come help us prepare the overdose response kits that will be distributed throughout Las Vegas during Narcan at Night on September 12th. Every kit we pack gets us one step closer to our 15,000-kit goal.

⚠️ Please note: Kit Packing Days are 18+ only for attendees.
