The award was presented during the organization’s 2026 Cultural Exchange and Achievement Celebration in Illinois, which honors the dedication and excellence of Filipino educators serving in exchange programs across the United States. Christine Joy received her award in recognition of her exceptional teaching performance, leadership, and cultural advocacy while teaching in North Carolina with EPI.

Reflecting on the achievement, she shared, “I am incredibly grateful for this recognition and the opportunities the Exchange Visitor Program has provided me to grow and impact my classroom.”
