A king has arrived!

Zeus has officially made his way to the adoption floor and is ready to find the forever kingdom he deserves. This handsome 3-month-old boy is impossible to miss with his stunning white coat, striking blue eyes, and a personality that's every bit as bright as his looks. 💙🐾

🐾 We Need Your Help Feeding 29 Kittens 🐾

Kitten season is in full swing, and Desert Whiskers Rescue is currently caring for 29 kittens across our foster network.

Every day, these little ones go through an incredible amount of food as they recover, grow, and prepare for their futures. Right now, our biggest need is Sheba Perfect Portions Kitten Food. We are currently feeding approximately 72 servings every single day, and our supply is disappearing quickly.

Why Sheba?

We feed several kitten foods throughout our foster program, including Sheba Kitten, Fancy Feast Kitten, and Royal Canin Mother & Babycat.

Thanks to a recent sale, we currently have a healthy reserve of Fancy Feast Kitten. Royal Canin is reserved for nursing mothers, underweight kittens, and kittens recovering from illness who need additional nutritional support.

Sheba has become our biggest need because it strikes an excellent balance between quality, digestibility, availability, and cost. Most importantly, kittens love it. Its highly palatable texture and flavor help encourage eating in kittens that are underweight, recovering from illness, or adjusting to a new environment. Because it is also widely available, it helps make the transition to life with an adoptive family easier when the time comes.

If you'd like to help, sending Sheba Kitten food from our wishlists is one of the most direct ways to support the kittens in our care. Monetary donations also help us purchase food while covering veterinary care, medications, vaccinations, and emergency medical needs.

Hey everyone, let’s welcome beautiful Willow! 🖤🤍

Willow is a 2-year-old sweetheart who was supposed to be headed back outside after being spayed, but the second I met her I knew there was no way that was happening. She is way too sweet and loving to be out on the streets.

And this girl is a TALKER! 😹 Every time someone walks into the room, Willow has something to say and makes sure you hear all about it. It’s honestly the cutest thing ever. Between her nonstop little conversations and those giant eyes, she steals hearts instantly.

Now Willow gets the chance she deserves — a safe home, lots of love, and a forever family who will listen to all her stories. 🐾

🐾 Meet the Shoresy Girls Litter 🐾

When we were asked to help with an overcrowded household caring for four different kitten litters, we knew these little ones needed a chance to grow up somewhere safe.

Introducing Momma Nat and her babies:

🤍 Fez
🩷 Miggs

These kittens are estimated to be 6–8 weeks old and arrived a little underweight with intestinal worms, but they are already receiving excellent care in a loving foster home. With proper nutrition, veterinary care, deworming, and plenty of attention, they are getting the fresh start they deserve.

Momma Nat has clearly done everything she could for her babies despite difficult circumstances. Now it's our turn to help her family thrive. ❤️

Families like Nat's are arriving faster than we can find homes for them. Right now, Desert Whiskers Rescue has 27 kittens in our foster network and another 12 kittens on our waiting list hoping for a safe place to go. Every new litter means more food, more supplies, more medical care, and more foster support.

Twenty-seven kittens can eat an incredible amount of food. Our biggest need right now is Sheba Kitten food. We're going through it faster than we can replace it, and every case helps us keep full bowls in front of kittens like Miggs, Rue, Fez, Ziigwan, and Miigwan.

Meet Bronco 💙

This handsome 3-year-old chunky hunk came to Desert Whiskers after the heartbreaking passing of his owner at 86 years old. Bronco and two other kitties were left behind, and when the family reached out for help, of course we stepped in to help these babies during such a difficult time.

Bronco is an 18-pound gentle giant with the sweetest soul. He’s loving, friendly, and just wants attention and affection. Sadly, our adoption condos were simply too small for this big boy to be comfortable, so we reached out for help. Thankfully our amazing friends at Rescued Treasures Cat Café by PALnv welcomed Bronco with open arms.

Please go visit this sweet boy and show him some love. After losing the only home he knew, Bronco deserves a second chance at a beautiful life filled with comfort, love, and happiness. 💙🐾

🚨 PRINGLE & ROXY ARE READY FOR FOREVER HOMES! 🚨

Look who made it to adoptions! These two beautiful 1 year old boys are now waiting for forever homes after being abandoned in a park in the Las Vegas heat with a note saying “homeless kitties.” 💔 Now they’re safe, loved, fully vetted, and ready for a new beginning.

Meet Pringle — the gorgeous blue Russian boy with the sweetest personality. He absolutely loves people and is a total love bug.

And handsome Roxy — our black and white sweetheart. He’s a little shy at first, but give him a few gentle pets and he melts into the most loving boy ever.

You can meet them at the Ft Apache / Tropicana PetSmart and fall in love for yourself. 🐾

🙏Please share and help us find Chocolate his forever home this week! 🙏He is a curious, quirky, and affectionate 2 year old Tabby who has been through so much and deserves to find stability and a loving home.

Chocolate came to Desert Whiskers Rescue early this year after being abandoned and suffering on the streets with chronic urinary blockages. 🥺After 4 procedures, the vet performed PU surgery to permanently solve his issues.....and it worked purr-fectly! He is now healthy and is expected to lead a normal, full life. And, don't worry - he uses his litterbox like a superstar!⭐

🐈‍⬛He is a gorgeous, healthy 15lbs (making him an incredible lap warmer and snuggler), a big presence (you'll never be lonely again), and a total comedian (note his physics-defying sleeping positions). He's still young and playful, but also loves his naps and getting affection.

🍽️Because of Chocolate's history, he will need to be on a prescription diet the rest of his life. Otherwise, he's as low maintenance as they come (except for wanting to be your best friend/shadow/sidekick)! I've been a cat person my entire life and trust me when I say, he's truly one in a million.

Everyone welcome Katrina to the Desert Whiskers family! This stunning tabby/tortie beauty was part of a TAF TNR situation after a kind lady reached out trying to get her spayed and into adoptions because she knew this sweet girl did not belong outside. Sadly, Katrina ended right back at the same location still crying for help. She was let down once… but not again.

Thankfully that same amazing lady in her 80s refused to give up on her and reached back out so we could finally get this baby safe. And wow is she thankful. Katrina is a loud, sassy little love bug that absolutely craves attention and wants to be around people nonstop. With those huge green eyes and adorable tortie/tabby markings, she is already stealing hearts everywhere she goes.

She is spending the day with Dr. Wagner getting fully vetted, and if everything checks out she will be heading into adoptions very quickly. A beautiful, affectionate tabby/tortie girl like this will not last long once she hits the adoption floor.

Everyone welcome this beautiful girl Tortellini to the Desert Whiskers Rescue family! This stunning 1 year old tortie was found in a colony where she very obviously did not belong. We truly believe she was either dumped or became lost out there all alone. Thankfully this sweet baby is now safe with us, already fully vetted, and patiently waiting for an opening at the adoption center.

Tortellini is one of the friendliest little girls you will ever meet. She absolutely loves attention and wants nothing more than to be loved on. And those eyes… absolutely stunning 😍 They are impossible not to fall in love with and make her gorgeous tortoiseshell coat stand out even more.

We are so happy this beautiful baby will never have to struggle outside again. Welcome to the family sweet Tortellini 🐾💕
