Foster in Faith A Village for Every Child: Connecting foster care services with religious groups and churches to find loving homes for kids in need.

Last night, Foster in Faith partnered with A Greater Hope and The Composers Room for a 12-hour toy drive serving Clark County children in the foster care system.
Over 100 children were blessed tonight, and many more will be blessed in the coming days.

We played Santa’s elves—but the real gift was them.
Every single child who walked through was kind. Grateful. Gentle.
Hugs were given for Play-Doh.
Tears for big packs of Crayola markers.
😭 No children cried. Only us.

Please pray for these children, their families, and every person stepping in to help.
Pray for God’s hand to cover Clark County Foster Care.
Something has to change.
Kids should never spend Christmas alone in hotel rooms.

There are children in foster care who have entire teams assigned to them, and still no one is actually fighting for them.
No mama standing in the courtroom.
No daddy begging for a second chance.
No aunt or uncle stepping up.
No one calling the social worker asking how they slept last night.

These are the ones no one fights for.

They are the children who have been moved so many times they stopped unpacking.
The teenagers labeled unadoptable because someone decided their pain was too much work.
The siblings who get separated because no home can take them all.
The quiet kids who do not cause problems, which means they get ignored.
The loud kids who do cause problems, which means they get judged.

These are the ones aging out without a single person to call Mom.
The ones nobody visits.
The ones with birthdays no one remembers.
The ones who blow out candles in group homes and pretend they are fine.
The ones who pack their entire life in a trash bag and walk into adulthood alone.

And the hardest part is that the system knows who they are.
Everyone knows.
Yet somehow they remain invisible.

These are the kids who survive abuse and then get punished for the trauma they carry.
The kids who get labeled difficult instead of wounded.
The kids who hear the words “too old” or “too much” more times than they hear “I love you.”
The kids who should not have to beg for permanency the way other children beg for toys.

They are not unadoptable.
They are unseen.
They are unheard.
They are unprotected by a system that says it exists for them.

Every child deserves someone who fights for them.
Someone who shows up.
Someone who advocates.
Someone who chooses them again and again.
But too many children in foster care do not get that.
Not from family.
Not from caseworkers.
Not from anyone.

This is where the Church should rise.
Not with empty words.
Not with charity that lasts a weekend.
With real presence.
With real commitment.
With real love that stands in the gap for kids who have been abandoned by everyone else.

God sees these children.
He sees the tears no one wipes.
He sees the wounds no one treats.
He sees the longing for belonging that sits deep in their chest.
He sees the ones the world overlooks.

And if God sees them, we should too.

The truth is harsh, but it is real.
There are children who will age out without ever hearing the word family spoken over them.
There are children who will never experience what it feels like to be chosen.
There are children waiting right now for someone who will never show up.

They are the ones no one fights for.
And that should break us.
Because until every child has someone in their corner, the work is not done.

"It's easy to look the other way when you don't know their names" Don't look the other way. Look into ways to help these children. They have names, they have faces, they are human beings who have no control over their lives. They are counting on adults to get them through their childhood. Reach out if you want to find out ways you can help!

Did you know that every 2 minutes, a child enters foster care in the United States.

It’s easy to look the other way when you don’t know their names or see their faces. It’s easy to believe someone else will step in.

But once you know, once you truly see, you can’t unsee. The need is real. The children are real. But so is the power of people who show up to fill the gap.

Every child deserves to be fought for.
Not just noticed.
Not just shoved into the next bed or the next system-approved home.
Not just tolerated so someone can check a box and say “we tried.”

Every child deserves someone who will not turn away when it hurts.
Someone who will hold them tight when the world walks out.
Someone who will scream for them when everyone else whispers.
Someone who will stay up at night praying, hoping, fighting, refusing to quit.

Every child deserves to be more than a number.
More than a file.
More than a temporary stop in a system that pretends it cares.

Every child deserves to have someone who sees their scars, their fear, their anger, and says
I see you. I am not leaving.
Even when it is messy.
Even when it breaks me.
Even when no one else will.

Every child deserves love that will not let go.
Because they are not disposable.
Because their lives are not a statistic.
Because every single one of them is worth fighting for.
