You would have liked him.

Today, we remember the precious 9 months we had with our namesake Jack. On the morning of September 9th, around 1 a.m., we got the call that Jack’s vitals were failing and there was nothing more we could do.

At 2:38 a.m., he crossed the Rainbow Bridge in his favorite Tennessee collar and forever broke our hearts.

Oh, sweet Buddy-Doo…Not a single day goes by that we don’t think about you.

We wish you could somehow understand how much your legacy is helping other dogs; but we know that can never be.

This summer, our friends and family and total strangers gave so generously in your name, that we gave away over $13,000 to help dogs in the Las Vegas area.

We miss you. We love you.

Help us help him. This is Cedar.

This beautiful old man deserves better. He’s well over 100+ pounds and can barely walk. He’s got hypothyroidism, thinning hair because of it, lipomas all over, and teeth that are literally rotting in his mouth. Somebody let this happen to him, and that’s simply unacceptable.

This sort of story is exactly what your pool party dollar go towards.

He’s now under the care of Golden Retriever Rescue Southern Nevada, and The Jack of Hearts Foundation is jumping in to help however we can.

The plan for Cedar is simple:

Get the weight off.
Get his health back on track.
Get those teeth fixed.

And eventually, get him in the pool, because every golden deserves to be a real dog again, swimming, playing and feeling good in his own body.

He’s got a long road ahead, but he’s got people in his corner now. Follow along as we help turn this sad sack of a dog into the goofy golden he was always meant to be.

We’re going to roll out the red carpet for the LAST time on August 29th. This summer has been more than we could have imagined. It has given us core memories and a baseline to jump from in 2027.

Now don’t worry - yes, the pool will close for big parties but we’ll still be available for private gatherings for those dogs that still need the pool.

It’s critical that older dogs get as much exercise as possible and there is simply nothing better than swimming.

We’re dedicated to helping the dogs that have made our first summer spectacular. The Colts, Barnabys, Wallys, Simbas, Nalas, Macks, Dugs, Marleys, Milos, Guidos, Beaus and Schaefers of the world will be welcome year round.

Let’s go one more time though and bring summer to a close. Help us break $3,000 and help Vegas Roots Rescue!

We tried designing a shirt without AI, and while we're thrilled with how it turned out, the test prints all came back with a bit of a yellow tint, like in this photo.

But we still wanted to share it with you. You may not know all of these dogs, but we sure do.

Behind the sign is SHEP, the black German Shepherd who's rude to all of our guests for about 30 seconds before becoming their best friend for life.

Below him is C**T, our giant white German Shepherd. He's beautiful, enormous, and absolutely worth looking for at our pool parties. We love that guy.

On the pool deck is our LILY, also known as Lily Beans, or just Beans.

Just below the Eiffel Tower is the ever-popular MARLEY from . We can never get enough of her.

REGGIE is our resident acrobat, always ready to impress the ladies with a big jump.

Also on the pool deck is MUGSY (2013-2026), one of our founding members. To his right, below the Stratosphere, is Captain Chaos himself, the doodlest doodle that ever doodled: COOPER Doodle.

In the pool on the left are our Ambassador of Shenanigans, SCHAEFER, and our beloved namesake, JACK, who has been gone for nearly two years now.

Don't miss DUG diving for his ball. It's a little unsettling the first time you see it, but he absolutely lives for it.

A huge fan favorite who's been with us since day one: WALLY, the Great White Shark. God, he's the best. He's... a lot... but he's worth the chum.

We're not entirely sure which dog brought the fish, but that toy has become one of the biggest hits in our pool. So consider it a tribute to every dog that's obsessed with that fish.

In the foreground is NALA, proudly wearing her boyfriend Captain Jack's braids.

Wearing the diving mask is PEACHES, representing every little dog that's always welcome at our events.

Dead center is BEAU. Somebody, please, throw his frisbee. Right now. Seriously. If you don't, he's never going to stop talking about it.

And in the bottom right, because apparently once wasn't enough, is SCHAEFER again.

Not pictured, but loved every bit as much, and we'll find a way to include them next time:
