💙 Check In on Our Teens – Their Mental Health Matters 💙

Life as a teenager today comes with so many pressures, and often, they carry their struggles silently. From academic expectations to social pressures, self-discovery, and navigating relationships, our teens face challenges that we sometimes don’t see.

Let’s remind ourselves to check in with them, listen without judgment, and offer our support. A simple conversation or a genuine “How are you really feeling?” can make all the difference. It’s okay to seek help – it’s a sign of strength, not weakness. Together, we can create a safe space where our teens feel understood and supported. 💪💖

If you’re a parent, teacher, or mentor, take a few extra minutes today to show them that you’re there, and that it’s okay to talk about their feelings. Their mental well-being is just as important as their physical health. 🌱

🌸 This year, we are dedicating our altar to raise awareness about the impact of infant loss and its effect on families. 🌸

In many Hispanic families, the loss of a child leaves a deep emotional scar and affects the entire family dynamic—a pillar in our culture. It brings a profound sense of grief, often leading to financial strain, emotional struggles, and long-lasting trauma. Our youth, in particular, can feel the weight of this burden, facing stress and emotional isolation as they try to step up in times of hardship.

By raising awareness, we aim to open up conversations about healing and provide support for our youth to process this grief, fostering resilience and emotional well-being.

We’re not only looking for professional placements—fast food, retail, and other entry-level positions are equally valuable in teaching critical workforce skills and keeping kids off the streets. Every experience matters when it comes to building their future success!
