Black lives continue to be policed, brutalized, and disrespected.

Black bodies continue to be treated as disposable — beaten, hung, forgotten. And still, accountability moves slower than the harm does.

This is the atmosphere fear wants us to live in. One that asks us to shrink, to dim our light, to accept survival instead of a full life.

We don't accept that as the answer.

At 1M4, we're equipping Black communities and families with the resources to keep themselves and each other safe — before harm happens. And if it does happen, we're equipping them with what it takes to demand accountability and justice.

Before harm. After harm. We've got you.

Yesterday was World Su***de Prevention Day.

And for our village, prevention has to mean more than awareness, it has to mean access.

That's why 1M4 built The Right Response Directory — a resource connecting people in crisis with alternatives to police response and community-led emergency support.

Because too often, our call for help is met with punishment instead of care. And we deserve better.

Protecting each other is Sistahood work and we're doing it. 💜

A teenager. A former college athlete. A paraplegic man in his own wheelchair.

Different ages, different situations — the same reality: Black people are still being met with violence instead of protection.

Violence instead of their rights. Violence instead of dignity. Violence instead of care.

This isn't about isolated bad actors. It's a pattern rooted in how Black communities are policed, and it's exactly why 1M4 exists — to end police violence by 2038 and build the safety our communities have never been guaranteed.

The Sistahood carries this weight together, because silence has never kept us safe. And isolation never kept us whole.

Hey, if you’re new here — we’re 1M4 (1 Million Madly Motivated Moms), a Black women-led organization on a mission to end police violence in the U.S. by 2038. 💛

We’re a public safety and mental health org built on prevention — not just reacting after harm happens. That means:
🔹 Doing the work that helps reduce police interactions before they turn tragic
🔹 Supporting families impacted by police violence — financially, emotionally, and through advocacy
🔹 Championing mental wellness for Black families, with a special focus on the wellbeing of the Black maternal figures 🐐
🔹 Life-saving tools like the Right Response Directory, a 911 alternative for mental health crises

Prevention isn’t passive. It takes people showing up, and it takes funding. Both start with community.
