Being pulled over is one of the most stressful experiences we face β€” and the data makes it clear why.

Black drivers are 20% more likely to be stopped, searched nearly twice as often, and according to the Center for Policing Equity, face a 2.9x higher likelihood of force being used. This isn't in your head.

That's exactly why we put this together. Swipe through for everything you need to know β€” from the moment those lights come on to the tools we secured specifically for our community to help protect you in real time.

We were never the problem. We were just never given the right words for what we were going through.

Too many of us grew up being called difficult, hardheaded, or out of pocket β€” when what we actually needed was support that saw us fully. And for too long, our community didn't have access to that. We pushed through. We stayed quiet. We survived without ever being understood.

That ends here. Part of shielding the village is making space for each other to be fully seen β€” without judgment, without shame, and without having to earn the right to be supported. Destigmatizing starts with us.

Swipe through. This one is for every age, every stage, and every person who deserved better. πŸ’œ

This is what it means to make space for our voices.

April is National Poetry Month and we're handing the mic to our sistas, because the most powerful words about our experience come from within our community.

This piece is by 1M4 Sista Jasmine β€” and if you've ever been told to shrink, doubt, or hide what you carry, read this slowly. πŸ’œ

April is Autism Awareness Month β€” and this stat is where we start.

Black children are 5.1x more likely to be misdiagnosed with conduct disorders before ever receiving an autism diagnosis. Not because the signs aren't there. But because a system built without us in mind keeps seeing our children's needs as behavior problems instead of what they actually are β€” a child who deserves support.

Think about the kids in our community who were always "acting out," always in trouble, always being sent home. How many of them were actually showing us signs we didn't have the language for?

This misdiagnosis doesn't just delay care. It delays everything. Early intervention matters. The right diagnosis matters. And our children deserve a system that sees them fully.

Share this. Because awareness only travels as far as we carry it. πŸ’œ

Dr. Heavenly's story is a wake up call for our community.

A mental health emergency. A son she hasn't seen in over a year. And two medical professionals who had no idea 988 existed or that there were alternatives to calling 911.

If they didn't know β€” how many of us don't?

That's exactly why 1M4 built The Right Response. It's a free directory that helps you find response teams in your area before you ever and whenever you need them.

Because Black mothers who already second guess dialing 911 deserve to know there are other options. Because when a mental health crisis threatens your child, you deserve a response built around care, not one that puts them at greater risk.

Visit therightresponse.co to find your local options now. Then bookmark it. Share it. Help us raise awareness. πŸ’œ

Witnessing a police interaction can be terrifying.
But your presence β€” and your phone β€” can make a real difference.

Knowing what to do in that moment isn't just helpful. It could be lifesaving.

Swipe through to learn how to be a presence that protects. Then save this and share it with the people in your circle β€” because this is information everyone in our community needs to have before they need it.

This Women's History Month, we're putting our Sista Spotlight on Dr. Kim Everett β€” Organizational Learning & Leadership Development Strategist, Belonging & Culture advocate, and someone who has spent over 25 years creating spaces where people can grow, lead, and show up fully.

Dr. Kim's work sits at the intersection of leadership, culture, and community β€” helping individuals and organizations reconnect to their values and lead with purpose. And her words say it best:

"Honoring Black history means investing in Black leaders today by creating spaces where we reconnect to our inner wisdom, clarify our values, and lead with care and purpose, impacting generations to come."

That's the kind of leadership that changes things β€” not just for today, but for the generations coming up behind us. We see you, Dr. Kim. πŸ’œ

Tag a Black woman leader who deserves her flowers today. πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

There are a lot of communities out here. But how many of them actually show up?

We're talking about after the cameras come off, the lights fade, and the conversations move on. We're talking about for the highs, lows, and in-betweens.

Because that's what we're here for. ALL the chances to show up for you, sis.

Thats why we dont come looking just for a follow β€” we're looking for you to be part of our village.

Because to us community is regular check-ins, advocacy, and resources built for what we're really going through.

And not only have we built it, we've made sure that it won't cost you a thing.

That's right. No cost. No expectations. Just a community that has your back.

Come be part of something real. Join via the link in pur bio.
