Can I get a woo-hoo! Reggie has been adopted and becomes the last Doberman placed by Doberman Rescue of Nevada! He's such a laid back, chill senior boy who has found a great forever home with an experienced Dobe owner who loves older mellow dogs. But Reggie won't be a couch potato. He will be going on walks and hiking and getting treats and lots of loving! You scored! DRNV still is supporting two 12-year-old senior Doberladies for as long as we can and they will live out their golden years with a wonderful foster mom who is also one of our adopters.

The end of 2024 also comes with great celebration of another adoption of a Doberman with special needs. Oh yeah, we’ve got some happy feet dancing for this one.
Ellie came to us at age 2 and within weeks developed epilepsy. It is manageable, but emotionally challenging and sometimes requires personal involvement during a seizure. We were so lucky to find a loving foster family who cared for her for months while we searched for someone ready to give Ellie the care and love she deserves. Special needs = special adopter.
Wow. Ellie scored! She was spotted by a woman whose “calling” is to care for special needs cases of all types and challenges. She has done so for years. Ellie has joined a new pack with various aches and ailments, but mostly a lot of love. It is such a privilege to see and get to know adopters who are themselves so special (pun intentional).
Do we hear some woo-hoos? WOO-HOO!

2024 closes with the music playing for some serious happy-feet dancing. Niko has been adopted!
He is now sharing a loving home with DRNV alumnus, Beck. His new family has had Dobies for years and fell in love as quickly as he did. Still young, Niko wants to play constantly with Beck. Middle-aged-but-young & healthy Beck wants to play just as much. OK, then!
Many thanks to Level 3 Canine for working with Niko to make him all the dog he can be and for working with his new family to get everyone on the same page.
So, do we hear some Happy New Year woo-hoos? WOO-HOO!
If you like the family portrait below, you’ll be smiling watching the video of what went into taking it.
