Since we are closing our doors, we have a few Strider Bikes that we would like to donate to our campers, friends or to a place that would use them. I am currently in town until Friday and need them gone by then (I have 6)... if you would like one, or know someone who could use one please contact me here on facebook or at 702-303-3899. Pick up would be on the Northwest side of town.

Campers, staff, parents, caregivers and supporters.

Camp Sam started in 2015 from hard work, love and a desire to continue something that was so important and needed.

Unfortunately, due to numerous factors- Covid, moving out of state, financial loss, I sadly need to announce that Camp Sam is officially closing its doors.

The Camp Sam campers have brought so much joy, love, inspiration, education, experience, friendships and just pure fun to our lives that I have been avoiding writing this, because it means it is really happening.

We hope everyone is doing well and staying strong during these times.

Thank you for everything over the past six years. Your love and generosity will truly be missed.

More ways to easily help Camp Sam!!! Shop at Smith’s for your groceries?? You can’t donate to camp sam just for buying your groceries!

Hey all! Great announcement! Camp Sam has teamed up with Smith's Foods. If you shop at Smith's for your grocery needs, please take an extra minute to add Camp Sam (Community number 73184) as your charity of choice. Its simple and only takes a minute online. It doesn't cost you anything, it doesn't take away your rewards points or your gas points, it just simply allows Smith's Food and Drug to donate a portion of your spending to Camp Sam. If you haven’t done so already... a great way to help us out without you having to spend anything extra, is set us as your charity on Amazon Smile (how to in the pics below!). If every family of campers did this we could pay our Monthly storage fees 🙂. Share with your friends and family and see if we can get more people to add Camp Sam as their charity of choice !

Hello Campers, Parents & Caregivers,

We are all very aware that you are desperately waiting to know whether we will be able to hold camp this year... unfortunately I don't come to you with good news. Due to many factors, including funding and being able to secure our camp location, we will not be able to hold camp this year. Due to COVID 19 we took a hard hit financially, not being able to do our large fundraiser at the Las Vegas Renaissance Festival in 2020 and still having to pay our licensing and storage fees. As for our camp location- Camp Lee, Clark County has made the decision to not rent out to external reservations this year due to the massive construction project that was delayed from last year and will be happening May - October 2021.

As hard as we have tried, we are not able to move forward with camp again for the 2021 season. We are currently evaluating our status for the 2022 year in hopes that we will be able to move forward with financial stability, or if it will be time to close down Camp Sam indefinitely.

We miss all of you and hope to see you all soon! As more information is figured out we will be notifying everyone on all our platforms

Hello Everyone! Camp Sam 2021 update...
I know everyone has been wondering what the status of Camp Sam is for this year...Currently we do not have a lot of information. There are a few things we are waiting to hear on and most likely will not have a final answer until April 1st. Please continue to standby for more information to come. As soon as a decision as well as confirmation of the camp location being secured we will let everyone know. We miss everyone and are keeping our fingers crossed to be able to host camp this year.

Sadly the Age of Chivalry is canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic 😭. We will be ready to sell you guys a lot of beer in 2021!

A tough decision but the Clark County Parks & Recreation Parks and Recreation has cancelled its “Age of Chivalry” Renaissance Festival scheduled Oct. 11-13, 2020, due to uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and the costs associated with the event.

The Age of Chivalry - Renaissance Festival has been offered to the public for 25 years, drawing an average attendance of 32,000 annually. It has taken taken place the second week in October each year at Sunset Park in Las . The park is transformed into a Medieval Township for three days where participants can visit different villages, enjoy music, watch plays, eat and visit various craftsmen and merchants to learn about the time period. Parents, campers, caretakers, case workers and home staff.

I know everyone has been asking questions on whether or not we were going to hold camp this year. I appreciate everyone’s patience as we have come to a decision.
Due to many factors, mainly the health and safety of our campers and staff, we are cancelling Camp Sam this year. 😭😭😢😭🥺🥺😭

Please know that this decision was not made easily and we fought to keep it going for the last 2 months, however with the newest of announcements and the unknowing of the future ... to ensure that we can have camp again in the future we needed to cancel.

I will be issuing refunds starting this weekend and I am not sure whether they will be sent via check in the mail or refunded to your credit card but I will let you know as I go through it. Please be patient with me in the refund process.

I am emailing, texting, calling and posting on Facebook the cancellation of Camp Sam for this year. However if you have specific questions about our reasons please feel free to call/text/email me.

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! We are hoping that once everything calms down we can do some Camp Sam days somewhere but that is still to be determined. Thank you to everyone who continually supports Camp Sam year after year! We will be back next year!
