Hi Movie Buffs! And those interested in the truth about what is really going on with the environment!
“The Arctic Expedition”, is a $70M historic project that took 8 ½ years to complete. 8 ½ years of blood, sweat and tears not to mention living in almost constant financial ruin to get it done. The absolute truth is I never knew if and when this day would come. I thank God, the universe and the s
tars I finally have the chance to share it with you. When asked how I would describe the film my answer is, “It’s a historic journey into the Arctic with 26 countries and more than 250 of the world’s top environmental researchers and scientists that pushed me to the brink every day and night because there really is no preparing for Arctic conditions”. Having shared that description I can honestly say there are parts that feature the natural beauty of the Arctic that has rarely if ever been seen. Yes, there’s also danger and mayhem. When we left Southern California it was 70 degrees. Four plane rides and one helicopter ride later we landed on the Amundsen, a 330 feet Canadian Coast Guard ice cutter - it was 40 below. The next week it was 54 below not counting the wind factor. I have worked all over the world. I can say two things about this experience. It was by far the most grueling project I had ever worked on – and I would go back tomorrow given the chance. Because, it’s almost spiritual -unlike any place on earth. And, I’m most anxious to share it with you. If you’re interested in a glorious view from the top of the planet I think you’ll find yourself captivated on many levels. If you’re interested in what’s really going on with the environment you’ll hear from the most respected scientists and researchers while on the job! Sincerely,
Anthony Christopher
