This social event is tied to our chapter fundraiser at Lucille’s happening all day. Come enjoy a great evening of food, conversation, and community, and if you can’t make it at 6:00 PM, you can still support us by dining in or ordering takeout anytime that day and mentioning the National Federation of the Blind, Las Vegas Chapter. 20% of your check will be donated to our chapter.

🌟 White Cane Walk 2025 – A Huge Success! 🌟

On October 18th, we gathered for our annual White Cane Awaremess Day celebration and Walk, and what a beautiful day it was! We’re thrilled to share that around 70 people joined us, with 61 proud walkers stepping out to promote awareness, white cane visibility, and independence for the blind and low vision community. 🦯❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible, especially our incredible members of the NFB of Nevada – Las Vegas Chapter, Larry Coffey, the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR), The Lions Club, Nevada Talking Books, and Achilles International. 👏

Your support and energy turned this walk into a true celebration of community, empowerment, and inclusion. We even had some fun raffles and prizes to top off the day!

Thank you to everyone who came out, walked with us, and helped shine a light on white cane visibility and independence, not just today, but every day.

In recognition of National Disability Awareness Day, the National Federation for the Blind and Visually Impaired, vendors, and individuals with disabilities joined forces to promote awareness about essential services, programs, and resources. The event, held at Lorenzi Park Twin Lakes, served as a platform for advocacy and education, featuring music, prizes, raffles, and lunch. We appreciate the vendors and volunteers for their contributions and hope to see them again in 2026.
