We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the slain LVMPD Police Officer and United States Marine Corps veteran, who was killed in the line of duty today.

This officer served our Las Vegas community since 2023 with dedication and honor while assigned to LVMPD Southeast Area Command. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of serving alongside him and the community he so faithfully protected.

Please keep his family, friends, loved ones, and the entire LVMPD family in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you, Neil for your unwavering support of our law enforcement community.

With heavy hearts, the Injured Police Officers Fund mourns the passing of Neil Sackmary.

Neil was a longtime friend of IPOF and of law enforcement agencies throughout the valley. He was someone who showed up for others and made a lasting impact on those around him.

His kindness and presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time.

Those who wish to pay their respects are invited to attend his service.

GRANDDAUGHTER OF RETIRED LVMPD EXECUTIVE
MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT DIANE FERRIOLO 15-year-old Makenzie is fighting for her life after being diagnosed with Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM), a rare condition that causes severe inflammation in the brain. On March 19, she was airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, where she remains in the ICU. Her parents haven’t left her side, staying with her every moment as she battles serious neurological complications.

With her dad currently unable to work and the family facing overwhelming medical and travel expenses, they need our help. If you’re able, please consider:

• Donating
• Sharing her story
• Keeping Makenzie in your prayers

Every bit of support truly means so much.
