I would like to take this opportunity to thank, recognize, and honor our amazing Power In Purple Campaign Chair Jennifer Walsh. This campaign started 3 years ago as a mirror to Real Men Wear Pink, when top level female executives asked why there wasn’t a special campaign for them. I saw a need and set out to fill it. I used what resources I had and made the rest. The ladies received Relay branded pins to wear because Power In Purple pins didn’t exist. Jen came on board to lead the campaign the second year bringing her determination to fight cancer, passion to save lives and help others, bubbly approachable personality, and many incredible media skills that have elevated our campaign and brand to become what it is today. Jen created the logo we use now and social media for the campaign. She made PIP branded pins for the ladies, found gorgeous awards to present, and put her heart and soul into everything she does for the campaign including launch parties, awards ceremonies, fundraisers, and recruiting. She is loved and adored by all the ladies who join the campaign. I didn’t get to officially thank her in the awards video. And she truly deserves to have a video made just for her all about her. If I had half her talent, I would have made one. I have been truly honored to work with her. Thank you Jen for everything you do for Power In Purple and the American Cancer Society as a whole. -Shannon💜
