A friendly reminder to follow us on our new page, Nevada's Silver State Games! We don't want you to miss news, information, and more -- especially as we're about to kick off our 2026 competition season NEXT MONTH! Yes, you read that right!

Wed, April 1 is the doors open for our online registration opens for those April events and the rest of our schedule! The majority of our events are open to active adults ages 40+. For those of you ages 50+ looking to qualify for the 2027 National Senior Games, you'll want to make plans NOW to compete here in Southern Nevada!

Make sure to FOLLOW US at Nevada's Silver State Games!

Last year we changed our name from the Nevada Senior Games to the Silver State Games (because we're now welcoming more ages to our annual events!).

Now we've started up a FRESH NEW page -- Nevada's Silver State Games -- all to keep you informed, inspired and connected! Please join us there (link below in the 1st comment).

We're proud to announce the members of our 2026 Board of Directors! Each one brings a wealth of expertise to our non-profit organization in critical areas: accounting, fundraising, event production, sponsorship , strategic planning, and much more.

* Executive leadership: Liz Palmer, president; John Rosen, vice president; Athene Garfield, secretary; and Nancy Rosen, treasurer.

Hello friends!

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Volleyball Coordinator to run our annual volleyball tournament in April. This will be run in partnership with the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation. This will be a nationally qualifying tournament! It will run three days and it is expected to have teams from several states participating.

This is a Volunteer Position. The ideal candidate will have a background in volleyball, experience in facilitating tournaments, leadership skills, and excellent organizational skills.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Tai Chi Coordinator to run our very first Tai Chi tournament in the fall. Tai Chi has made it to the National Senior Games and the Silver State Games would love to have representation in Tulsa, OK in 2027.

This is a Volunteer Position. The ideal candidate will have a background in Tai Chi, experience as a Tai Chi instructor, leadership skills, and excellent organizational skills.

Hello, Athletes!

It's me, Marcia Washington, Games Director for the Silver State Games. I'm jumping in here to let you know we're seeking a passionate and dedicated Basketball 3x3 Coordinator to run our tournament in the fall.

Our annual tournament is also Nevada's qualifying event for the 2027 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This means all teams placing first, second and third will be eligible to participate in those Games next year!

Our ideal candidate for this crucial volunteer position will have leadership skills, a background in basketball, experience as a basketball coach, and facilitating tournaments.

If you are enthusiastic about basketball, I encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as our Basketball 3x3 Coordinator!
