On behalf of the Kids’ Chance of Nevada board, we would like to welcome Daniel Coyne as one of our newest Ambassadors for 2026!

Dan was born and raised in northeast Ohio. He moved to Las Vegas in 2007 when he was hired by the LVMPD as a Police Officer. Dan spent eight years in patrol, working at Enterprise, Northeast, and Convention Center area commands.

In 2016, Dan entered the LVMPD Corrections Academy and spent the next four years working as a Corrections Officer in the North Tower Bureau and Alternatives to Incarceration section.
In October of 2017, Dan was elected to the LVPPA Board of Directors representing the Detention Services Division. While on the Board of Directors Dan has served on the contract negotiation team, charity board, and retirement committee.

In August of 2020 Dan was appointed to the LVPPA executive board where he has held the roles of Director and Treasurer. While on the executive board Dan has has also represented the LVPPA’s members nationally as the Vice President of UCOPS and regional Vice President of NAPO.

Dan has a passion for giving back to the law enforcement and his community. Dan is currently the Executive Director and runs the day-to-day operations for the Law Enforcement Assistance Fund. LEAF’s sole mission is to support the families of LVMPD’s fallen officers. Dan also serves as the Co-Chair of the Las Vegas Ducks Unlimited Chapter where he has helped raised over a half a million dollars for Wildlife Conservation in Nevada.

On behalf of the Kids’ Chance of Nevada board, we would like to welcome Clinton Nemmer as one of our newest Ambassadors for 2026!

Clinton Nemmer is a dedicated Workers’ Compensation professional with more than a decade of experience supporting employers, claims professionals, and healthcare organizations across California and Nevada. He began his career with RJN Investigations as the Northern California Account Manager before moving into the role of Director of Marketing for Mullen & Filippi, where he led statewide outreach and industry engagement initiatives. Clinton later joined ISYS Case Management, overseeing operations throughout Northern California and Northern Nevada, and now serves as the National Business Development Manager for CareerSmart Learning, a subsidiary of ISYS. In this role, he supports organizations nationwide in delivering high-quality, accredited continuing education for healthcare and Workers’ Compensation professionals.

Clinton is known for bringing positive energy to every team he joins, consistently fostering collaboration, strengthening partnerships, and helping organizations achieve and exceed their goals. His leadership style emphasizes integrity, communication, and building strong relationships across diverse groups.

In addition to his professional achievements, Clinton has a long history of charitable involvement. He served as the original California Ambassador for the Kind Souls Foundation and continues to support the organization’s mission. Clinton also spent several years as an active volunteer and member of the Fundraising Board for Kids’ Chance of California, helping advance scholarship opportunities for children affected by workplace injuries.

Clinton is honored to accept a role as Kids’ Chance of Nevada Ambassador and remains committed to advancing opportunities for families impacted by workplace tragedies.

Kids’ Chance of Nevada is proud to congratulate scholarship recipient Josh Holland on his incredible achievement—graduating from UNLV in December 2025 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing!

Josh’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to helping others truly embody the spirit of Kids’ Chance. We are honored to have supported him on his educational journey and can’t wait to see the positive impact he will make in the nursing profession and in our community.

WAY TO GO KIDS’ CHANCE OF NEVADA!!

Congratulations to Nebraska, Idaho and Nevada!

Kids’ Chance of America has selected Nebraska, Idaho and Nevada to receive grants through the newly established John & Sandy Goldwater State Challenge Grant! All three states will share $55,000 to pursue transformative projects designed to strengthen their programs and advance the Kids’ Chance mission.

Nevada will undertake the Kids’ Chance of Nevada Reach and Relevance Project, which includes hiring a part-time administrative support, expanding high school counselor outreach, strengthening engagement with attorneys and employers, improving application follow-up and increasing community visibility to reach more eligibile students. Bravo Kids’ Chance of Nevada and congratulations to to Nebraska and Idaho!

Last Call: Nominate a 2026 National Student Ambassador!

Time is running out to nominate your standout graduates for the 2026 Kids’ Chance National Student Ambassador Program.

Ambassadors represent Kids’ Chance on a national level—sharing their stories, connecting with partners, and inspiring others to see what’s possible when opportunity meets determination.

Each ambassador:

Serves a one-year term

Receives a $2,000 stipend

Has all travel expenses covered (free travel)

Receives professional public speaking training

Networks with national partners and leaders

Earns national recognition in Kids’ Chance materials

Adds a standout experience to their résumé or CV

Nominee requirements:

Former Kids’ Chance scholar, age 21 or older

Comfortable speaking in public

Within three years of completing college or a training program

Deadline: November 17, 2025
Interviews will take place in December, and selections will be announced by December 31.
