It sends a text to a woman who has stopped expecting anyone to care.

It puts groceries on the table for a mom who is out of options and doing whatever it takes to keep a roof over her kids' heads.

It puts a team on a street corner in Los Angeles handing roses to women working in broad daylight while the rest of the world watches a soccer game.

It pays for the gas, the food, the resources that keep our team walking through the same doors week after week until a woman starts to believe we are serious about staying.

Lori was baptized this summer by the volunteer who sent her that first text. Kyla knows someone is showing up for her and her kids. Jordan prayed for her freedom out loud on a street corner and meant every word.

None of that happens without people who give.

She has a one year old at home. She is pregnant again. Both fathers are gone.

She is not doing this because she wants to. She is doing this because she is out of options and she is not going to let her kids go without.

When we met her online she asked for prayer first. We wrote back. We kept writing back. We showed up with groceries and diapers and sat with her long enough to actually listen.

We do not know what her story looks like a year from now. But she knows we are not going anywhere.

That is the only thing we can promise. And we mean it. 🙏

This summer our teams were on Figueroa Street in Los Angeles, one of the longest streets in the city, praying with women on corners, handing out roses, showing up in places most people look away from.

At the same time, volunteers were texting women online in cities across the country. Sitting with women in living rooms. Bringing groceries. Praying over pregnancies and hard seasons and things that do not have easy answers.

Same mission. Different cities. Different faces. Same commitment to showing up.

That is what Scarlet Hope looks like nationally. Not one dramatic moment in one place. Hundreds of ordinary, faithful moments happening all at once, in community after community, including right here.

What happens in this city is connected to all of that. The women our team shows up for here are part of a much bigger story of faithfulness happening coast to coast.

We are grateful to be one piece of it. And we are grateful you are too.

Not a program. Not an event. Just a text to a number listed on an ad.

Someone wanted to know if she needed prayer.

That was the beginning of Lori's story. Months of texting turned into phone calls. Phone calls turned into showing up in person. Showing up in person turned into the steadiest relationship she had.

This June she was baptized by the volunteer who sent that first message.

We do not always know what a text will turn into. We just know we have to send it.

Forty-two women stopped long enough for us to pray with them. Hand them a rose. Tell them the truth.

That was in one afternoon.

By nightfall we had encountered more than 150 women working a single street in Los Angeles. Every corner. Two to six women on each one. Most people driving past had no idea.

We talk a lot about the adult entertainment industry being misunderstood. This is part of what we mean. It is not hidden in the way most people imagine. It is hiding in plain sight, on streets people drive every day, in cities all across this country, including this one.

That is why consistent, local presence matters. Someone has to know where to show up.

She walked up, accepted a rose, and when we asked if there was anything she needed prayer for, she said this:

"Will you please pray for my freedom from this bo***ge in Jesus' name."

We prayed right there on the corner. We prayed hard.

She looked up and smiled. Then told us it was not safe to keep talking.

We have not forgotten her. We will not stop praying for her. And we will keep showing up for every woman like her in this community, because that moment on a street corner is exactly why we go.

Every woman in Lori's family had learned the same thing before her. That her body was the only thing anyone wanted. Eventually it stopped feeling like a choice. It felt like an inheritance.

She had stopped expecting anything to be different by the time that first text came through.

But someone kept showing up. Week after week. No agenda. No pressure. Just presence.

And this summer, surrounded by people who refused to give up on her, Lori gave her life to Christ and chose to break the cycle.

That is what faithfulness looks like over time. Not a program. Not a single dramatic moment. Just someone who would not stop showing up.

No woman in this community is beyond that kind of hope. We really believe that. 💛

When people hear about the work we do, they often picture something loud and urgent.

The reality is much quieter.

It looks like a familiar face walking through a familiar door. A conversation that picks up right where it left off last week. A small moment of trust that took months to build.

The adult entertainment industry is often misunderstood, and so is the work of reaching women within it. It is not about dramatic interventions. It is about long term, consistent relationship rooted in compassion and the love of Jesus.

Understanding that changes how we show up. And it changes how we pray.

Hope is not just something we talk about.

It is something we practice every single week when we show up, when we stay, when we keep building relationships that the world might overlook.

Choosing to believe that a woman's story is not finished yet, that is hope in action. Walking alongside her without an agenda or a timeline, that is hope in action. Praying for her by name, that is hope in action too.

We believe hope changes things. And we believe it is worth showing up for, every single time.
