Southern Nevada Child Drowning Prevention Coalition

SNCDPC is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child drownings.

The SNCDPC is working to eliminate child drownings in Southern Nevada, where 8 children on average drown each year. The majority of these deaths occur in backyard swimming pools and the most common victim is a child 4-years-old or younger.

These hot temperatures mean more time in the water and that means more discussions about pool safety and drowning prevention! Summer is officially here! We are getting ready for another season of water activities. Please be safe out there! Wear sunscreen, keep an eye on those who aren’t strong swimmers, protect all bodies of water, and inquire about swim lessons.

Today we are guests at Walker pool as we share information on water safety and drowning prevention. Come join us and beat the heat! We are here from 1-4pm!

Spring is here, which means summer is right around the corner. Join us at the Clark County Government Center today until 1:00pm to celebrate. There’s music, food truck, raffle prizes and lots of fun activities. We hope to see you here!

Summer may be winding down, but pool time is still going strong! The SNCDPC is here at Silver Mesa Recreation Center for the Back to School Party! We are sharing information about drowning prevention and water safety from 12pm-3pm. There’s food, school supplies, and giveaways. Come on down and join the fun!
