Common Ground Behavioral Health & Faith Community Conference - TEXAS 💜 subject matter experts lead the conversation with The US.gov Center for Faith in unification and activation of the most statistically protective factor for Substance Use, Su***de Prevention, Mental Health & Homelessness.
🇺🇸It was established by Executive Order on January 29, 2026. The initiative coordinates a national response to addiction across government, healthcare, faith communities, and the private sector. It is co-chaired by the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the White House Senior Advisor for Addiction Recovery.
Faith-based organizations are explicitly included as key partners in prevention, treatment, recovery support, and community connection.
(Note: There is also a broader White House Faith Office, established in February 2025, which lists “promoting recovery from substance use disorder” among its priorities, but the specific recovery-focused initiative is the Great American Recovery Initiative.)
