As we prepare for our next General Membership Meeting, we’re inviting JLLV members to take a look around their homes and consider bringing a gently used or new item to support 2 important community needs.
For Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, we are collecting flip-flops to help provide relief to individuals who may be without shoes while navigating the extreme heat. When pavement temperatures soar, having something as simple as a pair of flip-flops can make a meaningful difference for someone in need.
Need extra points? 5 flip flops = 1 point
We are also collecting donations for Noah’s Animal House, which is located directly on-site at The Shade Tree. Noah’s removes the “No Pets Allowed” barrier so that women fleeing bad situations don’t have to choose between leaving, and leaving their pet behind. Help us support Noah’s Animal House with everyday essentials, such as paper towels, trash bags, dry dog and cat food, and cat litter.
Whether you can bring one item or several, every donation is deeply appreciated. We know that small acts of GOOD can add up to a tremendous impact, and this is an easy way for our membership to support organizations doing important work in our community.
Before you head to our next meeting, take a quick look through your pantry, supply closet, or home—you may already have something that could help. Bring what you can, and together, let’s make a difference for both the people and pets in our community.
