❤️ FOSTER NEEDED FOR ZIGGY ❤️

Sweet little Ziggy has had a very rough week, and now he just needs a soft place to land.

Ziggy is about 10 years old, a tiny 6 lb Chiweenie, and one of the sweetest little guys you could ever meet. He was originally held at the shelter as a “stray”… and then ended up right on the euthanasia list.

Crazy4Pawz pulled him, and shortly after, he had MAJOR surgery to remove a large mass. He has spent this entire week going back and forth to the vet, and he is finally ready for the best medicine of all:

A warm bed.
A quiet home.
Lots of love.
And someone to tell him, “You’re safe now. Everything is going to be okay.” ❤️

Ziggy will be wearing a cone while he heals, and his surgical area needs to be kept clean and monitored. He doesn’t need anything fancy — just someone willing to give this sweet senior boy a little TLC while he recovers.

And there is NO expense to the foster home.

Crazy4Pawz will provide EVERYTHING Ziggy needs:
Food, bed, kennel, treats, supplies, medical care — whatever Ziggy needs, we provide.

He is incredibly sweet, kind and loving, and after everything this little 6 lb guy has been through, he deserves to spend his recovery curled up somewhere comfortable instead of at the vet.

🛻🚨 BREAKING NEWS:
THE TINY TRIBE HAS BUSTED OUT OF JAIL! 🚨🛻

Juanita, Babygirl, Gabbi, Clementine & Matilda have officially made their FREEDOM RIDES! 🎉🐾

These five pint-sized “criminals” came into the shelter as part of a confiscate case and landed on the euthanasia/transfer list.
Their crimes?
Being ridiculously cute.
Possessing dangerously long toenails.
And stealing hearts without a license. 😂

But the jailbreak was successful, and all FIVE are now SAFE with Crazy4Pawz! ❤️

They’ve traded their shelter cells for foster homes, comfy beds, full bellies, toys, and humans who are already wrapped around their tiny paws.
Now comes the expensive part. 😬💸

We’ll be tackling medical exams, spays, dentals, bloodwork and whatever else these little jailbirds need before they’re cleared for adoption.

Once their medical work is complete, they’ll officially be looking for their forever accomplices. 😎

**FOSTERS FOUND** Our little Tiny Tribe is getting some foster homes, but we still need fosters for the final TWO girls:

🐾 Juanita — 7 years old, 20 lbs
🐾 Gabbi — 1 year old, 9.5 lbs

Both are intact — for now!

The good news is Babygirl, Clementine and Matilda already have fosters lined up. Sarah was returned to the owner of this "confiscate" (not spayed!).

Now we just need to get Juanita and Gabbi into safe, loving homes where they can decompress, get spoiled a little, and start figuring out what life is supposed to feel like.

❤️ FOSTER-TO-ADOPT IS ALSO AN OPTION!
If one of these girls ends up stealing your heart, foster-to-adopt gives you a chance to get to know her while Crazy4Pawz completes her medical care.

And speaking of medical care... 😳
Between exams, spays, bloodwork, dentals and whatever else this little tribe may need, we are expecting their medical and dental expenses to land somewhere between $6,000–$10,000.
That is a BIG intake for a little rescue.

Crazy4Pawz is 100% foster-based and 100% volunteer-run. We don’t have a shelter building full of staff. Every dog depends on someone opening their home, and every medical bill depends on donations from people who believe these dogs deserve another chance.

💔 ZIGGY NEEDS ALL THE PRAYERS HE CAN GET 💔

Wednesday at 4:00 PM, Kim with Crazy4Pawz picked up little Ziggy from The Animal Foundation. He was on the euthanasia list.

Nothing prepared us for what we saw.

This tiny 6-pound dog had a massive, infected growth around his rear end. It was so large and badly infected that it was actively draining. We were horrified thinking about how long this little guy may have been living in this condition.

We didn’t take him home.

We drove him straight from the shelter to VEG - emergency vet so he could receive pain medication and be made as comfortable as possible until his appointment with our regular veterinarian Thursday morning.

At that appointment, there were still so many unknowns. The mass was enormous. The doctor told us he needed to get in there, see exactly what he was dealing with and determine whether there was enough healthy tissue to repair the area.

And we knew the heartbreaking reality: if it could not be repaired, Ziggy might have to cross the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈💔

But last night, we received the photos we had been praying for.

Ziggy made it through surgery. 🙏🐾

The doctor was able to remove part of the mass. Because of the size of the wound and the amount of infection involved, Ziggy is being watched very closely. His risk of infection and complications is still very real, and he is definitely not out of the woods yet.

Once Ziggy recovers from this surgery, he will also need a second surgery to continue addressing his medical needs. His road to recovery will be long, difficult and expensive, but we are committed to giving him the chance he deserves.

His condition also serves as another heartbreaking reminder of why spaying and neutering matters. Ziggy was not neutered, and his veterinarian is addressing the medical problems associated with the condition he was found in.

For now, this little 6-pound fighter needs healing, rest and a whole lot of prayers. ❤️

We couldn’t look at him sitting on that euthanasia list and leave him behind just because his medical care was going to be difficult and expensive.

This is exactly why Crazy4Pawz exists.

Any Chow Chow Lovers out there? Look at this beautiful white Chow. His life needs to start now!!

50 lbs and just a baby at two years old.

He was neutered, had a dental, dual entropion surgery, fully vaccinated, microchipped and saved due to neglect on his coat.

LET'S GET HIM A FOSTER or a FUREVER HOME ..... He is a typical chow and timid on first greeting, but after spending time with people, he enjoys your company.

He is currently at City of Henderson Animal Shelter. He needs a foster home asap!

🐾💕 KITTY ANGEL HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 💕🐾

Sometimes rescue is all about the right people connecting at exactly the right time. ❤️

Crazy4Pawz first became involved with little Kitty Angel last year when we helped facilitate a grooming for her through her caregiver. We never personally met her owner, but when she recently reached the point where she could no longer care for Kitty Angel, her CNA reached out to us again for help.

And that CNA happened to have been my dad’s CNA before he passed. ❤️

Of course, when there’s a little dog in need, we do what we can!

Kitty Angel is only 1 year old and 8 pounds, and once she came into Crazy4Pawz, she got THE WORKS!

🐾 A fresh groom
🐾 Vaccinations
🐾 Spay
🐾 Microchip
🐾 And plenty of love along the way

Then came the best part…

A wonderful man adopted Kitty Angel as a surprise for his wife after they had lost their beloved dog.🥹❤️

This little girl is officially LIVING THE LIFE! She looks pretty pleased with how this whole rescue thing worked out. 😂

A huge thank you to our foster Peggie, who—as always—jumps right in when we have a dog who suddenly needs us. We truly couldn’t do this without fosters willing to say YES when a dog needs a safe place to land.

And a big thank you to Tami and Dr. Huddleston with PetSmart Veterinary Services- for squeezing this little one into their schedule and getting her vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and ready for her brand-new life.

This is what rescue looks like: someone reaches out, people come together, and one little dog’s entire future changes.
