Sharing our St. Rose History:
From day one, St. Rose Dominican Hospitals championed inclusivity. In 1947, Sister Carolyn, our first administrator, made a clear statement when asked where to place a Black patient: "If you are a medical patient, you go to a medical ward." She didn't have to end patient segregation because she never let it begin. This powerful act set a precedent for equitable care that continues to define us.
