Every Little Girl Needs Braids collects and delivers hair accessories for children’s hospitals and healthcare facilities. Inspired by a true story, we have been sending our deliveries across the U.S. At twelve years old, Kaitlyn Hawkins found out she had a massive spinal curvature. After meeting with different doctors, her family found the best doctor for her case at Shriners Hospital. Kaitlyn onl

y spent fifteen days in the hospital. Recovery from the operations was difficult but went by quickly. She then started working with Shriners Hospitals for Children as a patient ambassador. During Kaitlyn's fifteen day stay inpatient at Shriners, her first three days were spent in bed. After three days her mom tried to brush her hair. After three hours of her mom detangling her hair, conditioning it, and brushing it, Kaitlyn's hair was finally no longer tangled. Her mom styled her hair into two braids. Kaitlyn's favorite nurse, commented on her hair saying how it looked great! He said "every little girl needs braids." Send us a message today to find out how you can get involved!
