The enemy is studying you. He knows what makes you angry, cry, laugh, and what makes you smile. The enemy is out and about seeking who he can trip up and mess up. If he can get us distracted on petty things, and if he can get us focused on the wrong things, then he’s got us right where he wants us.
Sometimes it’s not just life, but it’s an attack from the enemy. It’s imperative to pray daily, to dig into the Word and to pray for spiritual intuition. Stay alert and be on guard! Protect your mind from negativity, and from voices that spew gossip and godless things. Protect your home, protect your relationships and most of all, protect your heart. Stand strong! When you feel something is off, don’t ignore it. The enemy will do whatever he can to destroy you, but no matter what comes against you, call on the Name of Jesus! If you find yourself in a vulnerable place and under spiritual attack, call on Jesus!
Amplified "Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8
I love the message version of this scripture. The Message - “Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith.” 1 Peter 5:8
