I am excited to announce that I have started a new Club! Highlander Run Club had a great run but I am looking to grow beyond our local community, while I will still be focused on Youth Coaching, I will also be offering coaching for adults from 1 mile to Ultra Marathon and even Triathlon training programs.
The new Club is called Pacesetter Track Club. This will be under my new company called Pacesetter Run Co. Our slogan is “It’s more than a brand, it’s a Lifestyle”.
Not only will Pacesetter Run Co offer coaching services, but we will also be having a podcast, a YouTube channel focusing on running tips, and eventually we’d like to have our own apparel line too!
Please go join our new team app (link below) and check out our new website at

An admin of Pacesetter Track Club has invited you to join their FREE app. Please download Stack Team App, search for ‘Pacesetter Track Club’ and request to join.

We have also started a new Booster Club called Floyd Track Club where Myself, along with Coach Blackman (HHMS), Coach Liddle (Floyd), Coach Bennett (Floyd), Coach Korte (Floyd), and a few others are Board Members for. Coach Blackman (Floyd) is President and this club’s goal is to raise funds to help Highland Hills and Floyd Central Track and Cross Country programs!

Congratulations to all of our Highlanders for finishing off the season today against a very competitive field at Yes Nationals. We competed against teams from all over the country, even as far as Arizona, Delaware, and Philadelphia.
Our Highlanders were led by Finnleigh Fitzgerald (16th), Kipton Nickell (4th), Kate Berryman (14th), and Luke Baylor (6th) who all placed top 25 in their age groups. This is a very impressive feat and one that these athletes and parents should be proud of.
Congratulations to Jack Riddle, Hunter Schultheis, and Caisen Gomes for running PR’s and finishing the season off strong, despite several of the race distances being slightly longer than they should have been!
Thank you all for another successful club season! Thank you for helping bring snacks and/or helping set up/break down the tent!
Thank you for putting your trust in me as your child’s coach!
Most importantly, Thank You for supporting your athlete! You are just as important in their success as the coach and the athlete!
Remember… to be your best, consistency key, if you can’t be the best, BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE!

We’d also like to recognize Kipton Nickell, Finnleigh Fitzgerald, Harper Hogan, Harper Stone, Luke Baylor, Caisen Gomes, Nicholas Newman, and Levi Stone who all ran PR’s today!

Most of the rain held off for today’s race in Columbus. Great job to all of our Highlanders that raced today. A big THANK YOU to our parents for helping out with the tent today. We greatly appreciate the help!

Our Highlanders were led by Luke Baylor earning 1st place in the Boys 13-14 4k
Caleb Hartlage (6th) and Ryder Barnes (11th) earned ribbons for earning top 15 in the Boys 11-12 3k
Blake Baylor led the way for our Girls 11-12 3k with a 5th place finish!
Kate Berryman (4th) and Harper Hogan (15th) led the way in the Girls 9-10 3k
Cooper Main (11th) and Mason Warren (12th) led the way in the Boys 9-10 3k
Finnleigh Fitzgerald led the way in the Girls 8 & Under 3k by earning 2nd place in her first race of the season!
And the Nickell Boys, Griffin (11th) and Kipton (15th) led the way in the Boys 8 & Under 3k

We are proud of everyone’s effort out there today! One thing we want to make sure all of our athletes and parents understand is you can’t run a PR (personal record) every week. There are several factors such as course difficulty, weather, sleep, nutrition, and course accuracy that can dictate your athletes time. A prime example is last weeks course was about .08 short, while also having near perfect weather on a pancake flat course. Our expectation of your athlete is not that they win every race, place higher in every race, and/or PR every race. It is only, and always will be, that they BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE on that given day.

We get back to work tomorrow!
As a reminder… next week race is on Saturday, not Sunday, therefore we will practice in person as usual Monday-Thursday from 5-6pm
They will have an easy pre race run to do on the own Friday, race on Saturday, and their rest day will be Sunday.

Our Highlanders looked great today at the very fun, but extremely competitive Halloween Hustle Race at Louisville Champions Park.

Thank you parents for bringing snacks and helping set up/break down the tent. We could always use some extra help breaking down the tent after the meet for anyone that’s available to help. Thank you in advance!

We had several athletes run PR’s (Personal Record), several athletes qualify for Nationals, and several athletes earn medals by placing top 10 in their age groups.

We had a very strong showing in the Boys 13-14 4k with 5 Highlanders placing inside the top 10!
Caisen Gomes (10th), Graham Elrod (8th), Hudson Everett (5th), Hunter Schultheis (4th). Congrats to Luke Baylor for taking the overall win (1st)

We also had a strong showing in the Boys 11-12 3k led by Logan Siebert (10th), Finn Graff (9th), and Caleb Hartlage (3rd)

Blake Baylor led the way in the Girls 11-12 3k with a 7th place finish

Kate Berryman led the way in the Girls 9-10 3k with an 8th place finish.

Great Job Highlanders!
