More seeds of peace were planted last week, as Arab delegates who were engaged in the newly-inked Abraham Accords visited Israel, and specifically the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. Subsequently, 200 people from the UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia attended a Holocaust Remembrance Day event, featuring the first-hand testimony of a survivor of Auschwitz. These momentous steps herald a new era in Arab-Israeli relations, as Holocaust denial and institutional anti-Semitism made such events impossible to fathom until now. In the spirit of Tu B’Shvat, we hope these seeds of peace, understanding, and friendship continue to grow and blossom, granting Israel and the IDF stronger bonds in the Middle East and around the world.
