STR Pre-Application Opens - a six-month planning window, not just a deadline. When the pre-application window comes, preparation separates hopeful entries from lawful hosts. Plan. Prepare. Persist. Are you ready? Do you have a plan? 📣🏡⚖️

In the 2022 pre-application period (Sept 13, 2022-Mar 13, 2023) anyone who applied within that six-month window entered the same lottery; being selected later did not guarantee a license because Clark County’s restrictions and requirements could still prevent legalization. GLVSTRA challenged those rules - our injunction petition was heard Sept 20, 2022 - because we defend homeowners’ property rights and fight for a fair path to lawful hosting. We’re the only association fully focused on defending STR owners and on the laws that affect Las Vegas hosts.

The Clark County Commissioners poor handling of the shor-term rental license scheme was in full display in court on Monday!

During the County's appeal of our granted injunction—which currently prevents them from fining homeowners for not having an "Airbnb" license the county has made impossible to obtain—the Justices tore into the county.

Judge to Clark County, Nevada: "You've become so restrict" "You've mismanaged this (short-term rental licensing) process so badly.." "You got to fix the problem." "I would encourage you to fix the problems." "You're willing to throw the baby out with the bathwater."
