Dear Doral Family,
We are reaching out to ask for your support during an incredibly difficult time for one of our Doral Red Rock High School students. In November, he lost his father to a heart attack, and just last week, he tragically lost his mother as well. He is now in the care of his 19-year-old sister and a close family friend.
As you can imagine, they are experiencing immense grief and facing significant challenges. We are hoping to come together as a community to support them during this time. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help them with basic needs and provide some stability as they navigate this loss.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
Donations can be made at- https://www.doralredrockmshs.org/apps/forms2/?f=56328 up until March 31, 2026.
If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Hernandez at [email protected]

Congratulations to our very own Doral Academy of Nevada Executive Director Rodney Saunders for being honored with the Nevada School Administrator of the Year Award.

The Nevada Association of School Administrators (NASA) selected Mr. Saunders as Nevada Central Office Administrator of the Year for the state of Nevada.

At the award presentation, representatives from NASA said the award selection committee was “overwhelmed and impressed” with the work of Saunders at Doral Academy. That work has included providing an exceptional educational experience for every student, embracing collaborative leadership across Doral’s 13 Nevada schools and fostering a culture of growth and excellence. NASA leadership added that under Saunders leadership Doral campuses experienced significant growth in student academic achievement and success including in English language arts and mathematics.

Doral Academy of Nevada is the highest performing charter school system in the state with all of its 13 elementary, middle and high schools achieving 5-star rankings according to the most recent Nevada School Performance Framework published by the Nevada Department of Education in 2025. Doral Academy of Nevada and Doral Academy of Northern Nevada make up the largest charter school system in the state to achieve the top ranking for all its schools.
