13-year-old Kassidy Jones was beaten up by a grown woman at a McDonald's in the Harbor Gateway. Not a single black elected official has either condemned the attack or spoken up on her behalf seeking the woman to turn herself in.

Should we expect elected officials to speak on these types of incidents or should they stay silent and leave it to the activists?
