Today we pause together to remember the beautiful lives taken from us by the overdose epidemic.

Black Balloon Day is observed across the country and around the world to honor the hundreds of thousands of loved ones lost far too soon.

In this group, many of us carry the same heartbreak. We understand the silence that follows the phone call… the empty chairs… the birthdays and holidays that will never feel the same.

Today we say their names.
Today we share their pictures.
Today we release our black balloons into the world in their memory. 🎈🖤

Our loved ones mattered.
Their lives mattered.
Their stories will never be forgotten.

If you feel comfortable, please share the name or photo of the loved one you lost so we can remember them together.

I am very pleased to announce that we’re partnering with ImpactLife and Refuge and Restoration on August 22 to hold our 7th Annual Memorial Blood Drive. Personally, I feel great pride in knowing that H.E.A.L. and Refuge and Restoration NPO is becoming a part in what ImpactLife does to strengthen our local community by providing safe and ready access to life-saving blood products.

SafeLaunch "Flights Above Addiction" is an interactive exhibit using art and aviation to inform youth and families about importance of substance use prevention.
