From ๐๐โ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ, the Give Basic Needs office in Tamale welcomed batches of contractors for a series of ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐-๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ designed to prepare our teams for upcoming ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ.
The sessions were practical, engaging and highly interactive. Beyond introducing contractors to our event operations, the training created an opportunity to discuss how our different roles connect and how we can work together to deliver an efficient, coordinated and patient-centered experience.
A major focus was the ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ, which plays an important role in how we manage and record patient data during our medical events. Contractors received hands-on guidance on using the app within their assigned roles and discussed the importance of accurate data entry, proper patient flow and accountability throughout the process.
We also moved beyond theory. Through ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ, contractors took on their assigned roles and worked through the patient journey together, giving everyone an opportunity to experience how their individual responsibilities contribute to the larger clinic workflow.
One of the most valuable parts of the three days was the discussion itself. Contractors raised insightful questions, observations and ideas about our operations, creating meaningful conversations around how we can continue improving our processes going forward.
As our Northern Health Shield operations grow, training like this helps ensure that the people behind every event understand not just what their role is, but how their role connects with everyone else's to create a productive, organized and dignified experience for the communities we serve.
