Israel’s Ambassador to Colombia, Vivian Aisen, bid farewell to the 83-member Israeli rescue delegation after 11 days of working alongside Colombian teams in Cali.

Aisen thanked the rescuers for leaving their homes and families to provide critical assistance to the Colombian people, from search-and-rescue operations to engineering support and humanitarian aid.

Their mission did more than provide help in a moment of crisis. It demonstrated the growing partnership between Israel and Colombia through action on the ground.

After 11 days in Cali, Colombia’s Vice President Juan Manuel Restrepo thanked Israel’s 83-member rescue mission for its work alongside Colombian teams. 🇨🇴🇮🇱

According to Restrepo, the Israeli delegation supported efforts that recovered 29 people from the rubble with dignity, helped assess damaged educational infrastructure, and delivered another humanitarian aid shipment containing approximately 7 tons of medical supplies.

From search and rescue to engineering expertise and medical assistance, Israeli teams came to Colombia to help when it mattered most.

Ryan says the idea has become a viral trend among Lebanese audiences, reflecting a desire for greater people-to-people connections and real-world experiences beyond decades of conflict.

Tel Aviv Vice Mayor Guy Avner joined the message, expressing his hope to one day welcome Lebanese visitors to Tel Aviv, and to visit Beirut himself.

The moment came as Israeli teams continue their humanitarian mission in Colombia, working alongside local partners in the aftermath of disaster.

Beyond diplomacy and emergency assistance, he spoke about the connections between the Colombian and Israeli people, and the shared values that continue bringing them together.

Medical graduates from the University of Aleppo were filmed at their graduation ceremony chanting pro-Gaza slogans, including “I’m coming for you, my enemy” and lines about turning their own blood into ammunition and the enemy’s blood into rivers.

In context, these are not vague expressions of solidarity. They are clear threats directed at Israel, combined with language that glorifies violent sacrifice and martyrdom.

What makes this especially troubling is that these are newly graduated doctors — people who have just completed medical training and would be expected to uphold the principle of “do no harm.” Instead of messages of healing or peace, parts of the ceremony featured open celebration of the very violence their profession is meant to oppose.

The future of higher education and medicine should not be built on the glorification of terror and bloodshed.

Israel’s new Ambassador to Colombia, Vivian Aisen, told Colombian outlet La FM that the new visa agreement will make it easier for Israeli businesspeople to travel to Colombia and pursue new commercial opportunities.

Aisen also highlighted what Israel can bring to the partnership including advanced technologies, medical equipment, and innovative solutions that can benefit Colombians.

As relations strengthen, so does the potential for more business, investment, innovation, and cooperation between the two countries.

In testimony circulating from an October 2023 interrogation, a purported Hamas operative claims senior Hamas officials hid in hospitals, particularly Al-Shifa, because they believed Israel would hesitate to strike medical facilities. Independent reporting and subsequent evidence have also documented Hamas’s use of hospitals and civilian infrastructure for terror purposes. More recent intelligence revealed that Hamas is now using hospital infrastructure to interrogate and control Gazans.

Hospitals and other civilian infrastructure should never be used to create or sustain human shields for terrorist organizations.

Israel is expanding its humanitarian assistance to Colombia. 🇮🇱🇨🇴

One week after a joint Israeli Foreign Ministry and IDF Home Front Command rescue and humanitarian delegation arrived in Colombia, Israel is sending an additional five tons of medical supplies and emergency-care equipment.

The shipment was organized under the direction of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, in coordination with Israel’s Ministry of Health, as Israeli teams continue working alongside their Colombian counterparts.

A group of seven French Jewish tourists leaving a synagogue in Barcelona say they were surrounded by hundreds of people, spat on, humiliated, threatened, and pursued back to their hotel.

Jimmy Zaghroun, a 41-year-old French Jew from Paris, described 40 terrifying minutes during which the crowd allegedly shouted “Jews are not wanted here,” “Death to Israel,” and even threatened to kill Jews. One member of the group, visibly Jewish in a black kippah and traditional clothing, became a particular target.

Zaghroun says telling the crowd they were French, not Israeli, made no difference. They were targeted because they were Jews.

Spanish authorities are investigating, and Zaghroun has filed a formal complaint.

Israel says Hamas is using one of Gaza’s major hospitals as a site for interrogations, torture, and extortion.

According to intelligence released by the IDF and Shin Bet, Hamas Internal Security and Military Intelligence personnel are conducting interrogations inside the Yassin Building at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, specifically on the second floor of the outpatient clinics. Israeli authorities allege that Palestinians brought there have been tortured and extorted as Hamas attempts to maintain its control over Gaza.

This is a hospital, somewhere Gazans should be able to seek medical treatment without fear. Instead, Hamas is accused of turning it into an instrument of regime repression.

Hamas isn’t only a threat to Israelis. Its own authoritarian rule continues to endanger the lives of Palestinians as well.
