The Lawton Police Department meet with members from the Lawton Fort Sill Pride Organization to talk about how we could strengthen our relationship with the Lawton LGBTQ community and Lawton Police Department.With a focus on LGBTQ community. We spoke about the LGBTQ officers in the police Department, and their presence in the community, we spoke about the possibility of future LGBTQ sensitivity training of LPD officers, and about the over all needs of our community. I have always believed Dialogue is what strengthens our community and this was a great start. I would like to thank LT Noah Ellis and SGT Danny Smith from Lawton Fort Sill Police Department, Jay Sloane and CeCe Morales from the Lawton Fort Sill Pride Board for being committed to building bridges, strengthening relationships, and protecting our LGBTQ residents. We are looking forward to future collaboration.
