Thank you to the Latine and Caribbean activists whoโ€™ve come before us, and continue to fight for abortion decriminalization across the globe today ๐ŸŒŽ

Weโ€™re plugged into the Green Wave in our own way through our abortion access work in Nevada. Through funding abortions, contraceptive access, and tanks of gas to get folks to their appointments, we know that this work must be done without borders and without barriers ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿš‚๐Ÿšข

When we talk about mutual aid, we mean that WWAFโ€™s work directly fills various survival needs for our Nevada communities. Whether it be paying for an in-clinic abortion, a shipment of abortion pills, birth control, emergency contraception, or even a tank of gas to drive to your appointmentโ€”itโ€™s our belief in mutual aid that motivates us to do this work ๐Ÿค

While we fight the laws, policies, and barriers to access that keeps Nevadans from getting the care they need, WWAF is proud to bridge the gaps meant to keep us out โŒ

๐Ÿงก Weโ€™re inspired not only by movement experts like Dean Spadeโ€”the author of โ€œMutual Aid: Building Solidarity During This Crisis (and the Next)โ€โ€”but also by our friends at ๐•ฎ๐–”๐–’๐–’๐–š๐–“๐–Ž๐–™๐–ž ๐•ฐ๐–’๐–•๐–”๐–œ๐–Š๐–—๐–’๐–Š๐–“๐–™. Need abortion support in Nevada? Wild West Access Fundโ€™s got you ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒต๐Ÿœ๏ธ

To apply for funding with WWAF, head to wildwestfund.org/request-funds (also in our bio!) and add your info to our secure application. One of our volunteer case managers will then reach out to you directly with next steps ๐Ÿงก

โฐ We typically run out of funding at a certain point each week. We will then close our application, and reopen the following Monday morning. The best way to ensure your application gets in is to check, first thing, that next Monday! We will do our best to support every abortion-seeker we can ๐Ÿซ‚

๐ŸŒŸ If youโ€™re scheduling an in-clinic abortion, weโ€™d prefer you have your appointment scheduled before applying for funding with WWAF. If you need clinic referrals or more information, head to our website for help! Weโ€™re here for you every step of the way.

We shared vital information on the risks, laws, and landscape for abortion access in our state.
