Selah Place is a place where women and their children can learn about and begin to understand fully the healing work of the cross of Jesus Christ, to experience freedom that can be found only in Him, and to be discipled and supported as they learn to walk out life free from addictions, chains, and bondages.

🚪 MULTIPLICATION! So Much More Than an Audit!

What if a $15,000 investment could open the door to hundreds of thousands of dollars in future funding?

We have an incredible opportunity before us at Selah Place, and we need your help!

We have completed our application for Florida's Strong Families Tax Credit program, which could open the door to significant new funding and allow us to expand our reach to so many more families.

But there's one thing standing between us and submitting that application: an independent financial audit.

We've received a quote of $15,000 to complete the audit, and we're believing God will provide!

Every week, we have to turn away mothers and children who desperately need the housing, healing, and support Selah Place provides. And that is heartbreaking because we KNOW this program works! We've watched women and families experience incredible transformation, restoration, and freedom.

We don't want finances to be the reason we can't say YES to more families.

That's why we're launching our Multiplication Campaign, with a goal of raising $15,000 to complete this audit and pursue the opportunities ahead.

We've set a goal of raising the full $15,000 by November 15 so we can complete the audit and move forward with this incredible opportunity as quickly as possible!

Goodbye never sounded so good! 🤎

If there is one thing we have figured out in the last four years, it’s that the journey is NEVER linear. Ups and downs are part of life and part of the work we do at Selah Place. It can get discouraging when we hit a week or two that just seems to be full of nothing but bad news.

But then the good news comes, and suddenly none of that matters.

Yesterday was one of those days!

One of our mommas put in all the work to complete the trauma healing program but didn’t really understand why any of it mattered.

But God!

Last week, in a moment of frustration and overwhelming depression, she cried out to Him. With nothing but a Bible in her hand and desperation in her heart, the Holy Spirit met her there, and suddenly, it all made sense.

The months of difficult work confronting the lies and wounds of her past that had moments ago seemed meaningless became crystal clear. His peace, His comfort, and His love ministered to her in a way only He can, and the depression and despair lifted.

The joy in this momma’s voice as she shared her experience with her spiritual mentor was so contagious that the rest of the team caught it even as her mentor relayed the story secondhand.

The last part of her work in the trauma healing program was to say “goodbye” to the lies she had believed to be true about herself and her life circumstances and to embrace the truth of who she really is.

And she did!

In an incredibly miraculous and powerful way, the trajectory of this momma’s life just changed. Because she started today—and will start every day after today—understanding that her past does not define her.

She has been set free, and we fully believe there will be no stopping her now! 🤎

What a night! Our first-ever Her Journey Home event was an incredible success as far as we’re concerned. I am so proud of our brave mommas who shared the testimonies of how far they have come and what the Lord has done in their lives. I’ve had a front-row seat to much of this, and even I left inspired and encouraged! I am pretty sure I was not alone.

If you weren’t able to come this year but really wanted to, not to worry—we will have the recording available to share soon.

There is still an opportunity to be part of the work through your financial support as well. We received some generous gifts and donations, but we still have a ways to go to close the gap and finish our year strong.

Kelly is a fighter! We’ve known that since day one. ❤️

So it was no surprise that when Habitat for Humanity gave her a list of things she would need to address to be eligible for their program upon exit from Selah Place, she went straight to work.

She has increased her earnings through her cleaning business, saved money, improved her credit score, and paid down debt.

The last thing that stood between her and the possibility of a home for her and her son appeared to be a debt to Hernando County.

This week, she courageously stood before the Hernando County Commissioners to ask for a debt settlement. And the Holy Spirit showed up in that meeting. 🙌

I am so proud to say that Kelly cleared that last hurdle, thanks to the grace, compassion, and mercy shown to her by the Board ().

She will be reapplying for homeownership this year. And there is not a doubt in my mind that she will accomplish this—and so much more!

Keep fighting, Kelly! With the Lord on your side, we are confident there is nothing that can stop you! ❤️

For years, I’ve had people ask if Selah Place accepts donations of clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. And for years, I’ve largely had to turn those generous offers down because we simply didn’t have the capacity to store them.

Well…that officially changes TODAY! 🙌

One of our Selah Place moms has been working full-time while also building a small online resale business on the side. She’s worked hard, learned the business, and is now ready to take a leap of faith and pursue resale full-time.

And we want to help her do it! ❤️

To take that next step, she needs to build a good-sized inventory—which means your gently used clothing, shoes, purses, accessories, and other items can now directly help one of our moms build a business and create a sustainable income for her family.

So, starting today, Selah Place is officially accepting donations of gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, and more!
