Today, the Laredo Morning Times printed a great piece in “Art of Living” section about the UT Class of 2030 Student Send-Off, its speaker, panelists and alumni who came together to wish the newest Longhorns the best at the 40 Acres. We are grateful for the opportunity to share the impact the Laredo Chapter and its alumni have made in supporting our Laredo youth realize their dreams of attending UT. 🧡🤍

The Laredo Chapter would like to thank all the Laredo Texas Exes who continuously support our events throughout the year! Additionally, thank you to the Laredo Morning Times for highlighting our efforts towards secondary education.

UT30 Student Send-Off | August 5th, 2026

We celebrated our Laredo students during our UT30 Send-Off last Wednesday night as they start their journey at The University of Texas at Austin!

Thank you to our host Falcon Bank for your support and collaboration!

We’d also like to thank:
🔸 Judge Leticia Martinez Mendoza, our Keynote Speaker, for your inspiring and motivational message to our new Longhorns;

🔸Student Panelists, Daniela Granados, JoAnna Gonzalez, Ava Ornelas and Janae Palacios for providing genuine reflections about your first year experiences at UT;

🔸Our amazing Laredo Alumni for your attendance, support, and donations (UT caps and time);

Our Keynote Speaker will be Judge Leticia Martínez Mendoza (BA ‘81, JD ‘85, Life Member). We will also have a student panel to share their experiences and answer any questions about life at UT.
