Originally from the Bronx, she brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for community policing. As a fluent Spanish speaker, Officer Ortiz looks forward to helping us better serve all residents of Larchmont!

We stand with our brothers and sisters in law enforcement, fire, EMS, and the military who answered the call then—and those who continue to serve now.

From all of us at the Larchmont Police Department, we wish our community a safe and meaningful Independence Day.

On July 4, 1776, our nation’s founders signed the Declaration of Independence, laying the foundation for the freedoms we enjoy today. That bold step for liberty would not have endured without the courage and sacrifice of those who’ve served in uniform — past and present.

🙏 Today, we honor our veterans and active-duty military members, whose service has protected that very freedom for generations.
👮‍♀️ We’re proud to serve alongside them in keeping our community safe.

As you enjoy fireworks, barbecues, and time with family, remember what today truly represents — unity, independence, and the strength of the American spirit.

Today, we honor the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom will never be forgotten.

While this day is about those who fell in military service, we also extend gratitude to all who serve — including those in uniform here at home.

Let us remember, reflect, and pay tribute.
