From the blog: “Wyomingites understand that water is not abstract. It sustains our communities, our ranches, our recreation economy, and the landscapes that define this state. Yet at the same moment these concerns are growing, many of the largest decisions affecting Wyoming’s water future are being driven by monopoly utility companies and corporate interests with remarkably little public scrutiny.”

Water is life, and it is closely tied to energy production. That’s why we need to keep a close eye on what utility companies like Rocky Mountain Power are doing.

Photos from the past two weeks of events: we had a great time at our Earth Day community night and at our comment writing party for the Roadless Rule! It takes a village to protect our lands and waters, and we’re so grateful to our community for showing up!

Special shoutout to and for taking amazing Earth Day photos, and to all of our partner organizations!

Data center development is exploding in Wyoming- along with growing concerns about their impacts on energy, water, land, and climate.

It’s time to ask for common sense regulations on data centers- clear reporting requirements for water and energy usage, protections for ratepayers from rising energy costs, and responsible siting that prioritizes clean energy.

We want to know what you think- fill out the survey in our bio to tell us what your thoughts are on data centers in Wyoming.

New maps from depict the public lands at risk of permanent road development and industry expansion with the USDA’s decision to consider rescinding the 2001 roadless rule.

Our roadless forests offer millions of acres of access to outdoor recreation opportunities- the streams we fish in, the trails we hike on, the wild land we love and rely on.

There have been no official public meetings, so organizations across the country are holding their own to help the public advocate for Roadless Areas. Learn more at saveroadlessforests.com.

TODAY is the last day for SJ9 to make it through its second reading in the House. Let’s keep the pressure on- tell your representatives to vote YES to on keeping public lands in public hands!!

SJ 9 pushes back on federal efforts to sell off Wyoming’s public lands- making it clear that in Wyoming, we take pride in our open spaces and access to hunt, fish, and recreate on our amazing landscapes.
