What a great trip to Tulsa, OK!

The LaPorte County 4-H Horse Judging Team recently traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to compete at the Pinto World Youth Competition. This marks the team’s third trip to the prestigious national event, where they had the opportunity to test their skills against top youth judging teams from across the country.

This year’s team included two members competing as first-year seniors, adding valuable experience as they continue to develop their judging careers.

After a competitive day of judging, the team earned the following placings:

• 9th Place – Performance
• 12th Place – Reasons
• 12th Place – Overall
• 15th Place – Halter

As a coach, I could not be more proud of this hardworking group of young people. Their dedication, willingness to learn, and commitment to improving their skills continue to impress me. Each team member approaches every practice and competition with a positive attitude and a strong desire to achieve their judging goals.

The season is far from over. The team now sets its sights on the Buckskin World Championship, followed by the Indiana State 4-H Horse Judging Competition, and culminating with the All American Quarter Horse Congress. We look forward to seeing what this talented group accomplishes next.

Congratulations to your team—placing in the top 12 overall at a world-level competition is an impressive accomplishment.

Event cancelled

🐴📣 Important Update: 2026 Horse Judging Contest 📣🐴

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the 2026 Horse Judging Contest, hosted by the LaPorte County 4-H Horse Judging Club, scheduled for May 30 has been cancelled.

But don’t hang up your boots just yet! 👢🐎 We are currently working on rescheduling the contest for a date this fall and look forward to bringing everyone together then.

🍂 A new date is being planned, and we’ll share details as soon as it’s finalized! Please keep an eye on our page for updates.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We can’t wait to see everyone in the arena this fall! 🐴✨
